Dave reveals he’s bisexual, and that pounding you hear is Shawn’s heart. He’s loved Dave for so long, but he’s not about to jeopardize their friendship by telling Dave how he really feels.
But when Dave discovers Shawn’s little kink, it opens up a whole new chapter for the two friends. Except Shawn can’t help but worry – if there was no kink, would Dave be there? And is Shawn brave enough to find out?
A standalone short story of lust, lace – and love….
“The Importance of a Best Friend’s Love…”
anxiously stepping from foot to foot SQUEEEEEE! Sorry, I couldn’t hold it in any longer. Wow.. sigh I just read a great book. A book that I absolutely LOVED with all of its sweet and sexy scenes. Scenes which had my swooning heart all aflutter and had me weak in the knees. The name of this recommended book is called, “Lace.” And, I’m so glad that I read it.. 🙂
“Lace”, by KC Wells, is a short best friends to lovers story that has me wanting more from these two wonderful men. I am no stranger to KC Wells’ writing, as I have read many of her books, and, have loved every single one of them. So, it was no surprise as to how great this one had turned out as well.
“Lace” is a story about two young, good looking men, Shawn and Dave, having grown up together, recently deciding that it was time to take the next step, and, disclose every single one of their most intimate secrets with the one person who they both consider to be one of the most important individuals in their lives.
As that moment was upon them, I found myself melting, yet again, as both of these incredibly sweet, kind and caring men made that first important step, allowing their hearts to guide them, and it brought tears to my eyes..sigh sniff
Proceeding down a new road filled with uncertainty, self- doubt, second-guessing, and, mystery allowed them the opportunity to re-asses various aspects of their lives, in order to determine what they found to be important, to ultimately be able to make a very important decision. As Shawn and Dave continue to dance around their budding feelings for one another, they learn to communicate, and, really understand one another as they quickly learn that their chemistry is HOT! HOT! SIZZLE! SIZZLE! YOWZA!
While it was a short story, it wasn’t lacking anything necessarily. It felt complete, as compared to other books that, due to their length, wind up lacking an overall flow to their storyline. This one? It was smooth city. I enjoyed all of the characters, there was enough character development, albeit not a whole, whole lot, but enough to be able to develop an opinion about each of them. The writing did contain numerous Australian vernaculars, but they did not take away from the overall flow of the storyline. As for the emotions, they were palpable. I could feel them as they radiated off of both these men in waves. They, along with the storyline, were very realistic.
I LOVED “Lace”, by KC Wells. It was such beautifully complex yet emotional read about two sweet, kind, caring, and beautiful young men, who, together, guide one other through life, as they discover all of the fanciful extras that have been right under their noses the entire time… 🙂
