Cute hipster and interior designer Michael doesn’t do love—not after his ex screwed him over. Sex is a different story, though, and the gentle giant who’s painting the mural in the old mansion they’re restoring might be perfect hookup material. Gil is just Michael’s type with his solid muscle, wicked sense of humor, and the hazel eyes that seem to see into Michael’s soul.
Trouble is, Gil does do love. He wants romance and forever, and he’s set his sights firmly on Michael. Michael’s not going there again.
Yet when Michael is the victim of a vandal who’s been plaguing the men working for Delta Restoration, Renovation, and Design, Gil is the first person he tells. No matter how he fights it, it’s becoming harder and harder to deny he’s crazy about the guy—even if that thought terrifies him. But the true fear sets in when the criminal behavior escalates, and Michael realizes he might have lost the chance to tell Gil how he feels—forever.
This was a good read. I enjoyed the chase that Michael gave and I really enjoyed watching Gil catch Michael and real him in.
This book has a bit of a mystery too it and danger also. I truly enjoy a book that has some mystery too it.
Gil is one of those men that does not give up on what he wants. He is a patient man. He has a great group of friends that is more like family then friends. Each man in this group has one another’s back no mater what and when one of them is in trouble you have all of them to deal with. Gil in my opinion is the heart of the group. Each man brings something different to the mix of things but in my opinion they all rely on Gil to keep them strong.
Michael is one of those meant that pushes people away when they get to close for fear of being hurt again. So when his best friend David falls in love with Jackson and eventually is engaged to him, Michael knows that he has a new group of friends that he has to let in at least some. But Gil is a different story. Gil is dangerous to Michael because he knows that the attraction he feels for him could easily turn into something more and that is the last thing he wants. So he continues to push him away. Or at least he does until danger strikes. Gil is the first person that Michael turns too and he does not even realize why yet.
Can Michael figure out his feelings in time to be able to share them with Gil or is the danger that this group of friends seem to be facing going to take out one or all of them before Michael can figure it out.
This was a really good read. I enjoyed the love aspect of it along with the mystery aspect. In my opinion I do not believe that the mystery that took place in this book is completely over for this group of men. I may be wrong but that is just the feeling I have. As far as the relationship between Gil and Michael goes, I truly enjoyed the suspense of if they was going to get together or not. I look forward to the next book in this series. I hope hat it will have Manny finding his mister right because I think he deserves it.
