Six years ago Ellis walked into his first briefing as the newest member of London’s Specialist Firearms unit. He was partnered with Wayne and they became fast friends. When Wayne begins to notice changes—Ellis’s erratic temper, the effects of sleep deprivation—he knows he has to act before Ellis reaches his breaking point. He invites Ellis to the opening of the new BDSM club, Secrets, where Wayne has a membership. His purpose? He wants Ellis to glimpse the lifestyle before Wayne approaches him with a proposition. He wants to take Ellis in hand, to control his life because he wants his friend back, and he figures this is the only way to do it.

There are a few issues, however. Ellis is straight. Stubborn. And sexy. Wayne knows he has to put his own feelings aside to be what Ellis needs. What surprises the hell out of him is finding out what Ellis actually requires.

What an incredible read. This is definitely one of those reads that makes you emotional as you read it because you can feel the main character is out of control emotionally. You can feel that he is about to lose it all if he does not figure out a way to pull himself out of the emotional hell he is going through and quick.

Wayne can tell his best friend and partner is struggling with something and he can also tell that it is taking an emotional and mental tow on him. Wayne realizes that it is getting out of control and quickly does if something is not done about it then he is going to snap. Wayne wants desperately to help Ellis but Ellis is straight and not into BDSM. Wayne being a Fom wants to take Ellis in hand and help him to work through everything going on in his head but fears he will lose him if he approaches him about it. Wayne has been in love with Rllis since they first met but he knows nothing will come of it so he does what he can be being there for him.

When the opportunity arises to share a part of his life with Ellis and Rllis decides to go along with it, Wayne feels this may be his opportunity to be able to lend a helping hand to Ellis if Ellis will accept his help.

Ellis agrees to go with Wayne to the reopening of a BDSM club that Wayne is apart of names Secrets and is blown away but what he sees while there. Ellis is definitely intrigued but he is also scared. Ellis has so many secrets of his own that they are eating away at him and he does not know how to get it all under control.

When Wayne offers to help Ellis, Ellis refused out of fear and shame but Ellis cannot deny that he needs to try something very different then what he has been doing or he is going to lose everything that he has worked so hard for.

Will Ellis agree to let Wayne help him? Can Wayne break through and get to the root of Ellis’s issues or will Ellis remain closed off?

This is a great read with some twist and turns. It is definitely an emotional read that leaves the reader hurting for Ellis and the things that he and his sister both had to endure. I look so forward to more of all these characters in future books if KC Wells is planning to make this into a series because it was a fabulous read. I also love how KC brought in other characters from previous series she has written and incorporated them into this book. It made this read that much more interesting.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
