Love can grow in even the harshest conditions.

Life has been a struggle for Lachlan Buttar ever since his mother passed away and left him unprepared to take care of himself. He’s gone from homeless to staying with a local minister, but it soon becomes clear he will be better off, and safer, on his own. Fortunately Foster and Javi agree to take Lachlan in and offer him a real home on their dairy farm.

It’s there that Lachlan meets another of the workers, local farmer Abe Armitage. Though the attraction between them is instant, Abe refuses to act on it until Lachlan returns his interest. By then, strong feelings have taken root, and a passionate romance quickly blossoms. But both men carry baggage that could crush any chance of happiness together, particularly since Lachlan witnessed a crime, and there are those who will do anything to make sure he cannot reveal what he’s seen.

What a good read about learning to take all the ups and downs that life throws at us and learning to keep going and figure out what it is to live with the ups and downs and everything that we cannot change.

LaLaxhlan was not at all prepared for one of the hardest and most awful thing that has happened in his life thus far, his mom dying while he is in is last year of high school and having nothing or no one after the fact. Got a seventeen year old this is not something that he was prepared for and losing his mom completely broke his heart.

Lachlan did the only thing he could do and turned to the reverend in town for help but that turned out to be an huge mistake that seems to keep following him wherever he goes. With no where else to turn he decides to try and make it to the biggest town he can and try and find some kind of job.

Instead he ends up falling head first into Forster’s farm and finds an unexpected gift of a job, warm bed, safety, and friendship. Here is where he meets Abe and cannot help to be attracted to him. The question is, does Abe feel the same as Lachlan? Will his past catch up to Lachlan and can he make it out on the other side?

This was a great read. It is not easy to learn to live again after losing everything but Lachlan does everything to make sure that he does not give up on his own life even if he feels like he has nothing. Lachlan is so strong even though he does not realize it. I truly enjoyed reading this book and reading about Lachlan finding his way in life and what will make him truly happy. Look forward to the next book in this series.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
