When Julian Montague rolls into a small mill town on the back side of nowhere, he isn’t looking for any trouble. He’s broke and fallen on hard times—but his idea to run from a license check on a main highway has backfired. He went off road on his motorcycle and now he’s hopelessly lost and almost out of gas. Stopping at the only station in town, he’s confronted by bullies with a gun who insist he’s on the “wrong side of the line” and then proceed to attack him. Fighting them off, he heads for the dubious safety of the “other side” when he’s attacked by a wild animal and crashes, almost killing himself. Waking up tied to a bed, he’s startled to find his injuries are being tended by a large, handsome man named Leo who bosses him around, showers him with affection and insists on calling him kitty. Something is going on in this strange town called Hell’s Creek, involving the large paper mill and the strange inhabitants who live in separate territories and answer only to the Company. Julian needs to find out what it is before he finds himself the “mate” of another man—and the main problem with that is that he’s beginning to like the idea way too much.

Wow!!!!! Talk about a read that completely and utterly blew me away. Not to mention the fact that I am now anxiously awaiting the next book in this series to come out because I want to know what is going to happen next.

I am such a huge sucker for a shifter read. I just love them so much. I have yet to find a shifter book that I cannot get into too and this book was definitely one of those reads that I was able to be drawn into and could not put down. Shannon West did such a fabulous job on this book.

When you have a shifter book such as this one and then you add in the fact that one of the main characters has no clue about shifters, much less the fact that he himself is a shifter also and you have yourself an extremely exciting read. Then you throw in all the secrets of Hell’s Creek and the mystery behind the town and you have yourself a book that will leave you panting and sitting on the edge of your seat wanting more.

Leo and Julian is what truly made this book so special. Julian being so uneducated about what he was about to walk into and the fact that he is a shifter made it that much better. But the biggest discovery for Julian is the fact that he can and does find another man so irresistible is what makes their relationship together that much more special.

The flames between these two is so broiling and on fire that it is a wonder that anyone around them should have been burned that was within their vicinity. These two men are more then just compatible, they are soul mates and anyone who is around them can not deny that if they try.

Then to add in the mystery of the town and how each of the shifters came to be and you have a read that is completely irresistible when it comes to read it. As you can probably tell, I will be anxiously waiting for the next book to come out. I cannot wait.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
