It’s been decades since blackmail forced Troy Callahan to retire from playing professional hockey, and he’s built a successful career behind the bench. When he’s offered the opportunity to coach the Asheville Ravens—the most hated team in the ECHL—he’s convinced that his no-nonsense attitude is just what the team needs to put their focus back on hockey. But Troy is disheartened when he finds out the Ravens have signed Shane North, a player known for his aggression—especially when Shane’s rough good looks have Troy thinking inappropriate thoughts about a player, even if he’s set to retire at the end of the season.

Shane’s career in the majors never quite took off. Wanting to quit on his own terms, Shane agrees to a one-year contract with the Ravens and finds himself playing for a coach who thinks he’s an aging goon, and with a team that doesn’t trust him, Troy, or each other. Despite his determination not to get involved, Shane unwillingly becomes part of the team… and is just as unwillingly drawn to the gruff, out-and-proud coach. As the Ravens struggle to build a new identity, Shane and Troy succumb to the passion that might cost them everything.

Wow. What a great read. I truly enjoyed reading about both Troy and Shane.

These two men are so good for each other. One would think that two men that are both smart a$$es it would make them having a relationship difficult but with Troy and Shane it makes the sparks they already fell into a blazing inferno.

Not only does the fact that their banter between them turn them into a blazing inferno together it also feeds on them and makes them a better team on and off of the rink.

When trouble comes their way, that is when the real questions and answers into play. Now these two that started out just having fun have to decide if there is more between them then great, steamy sex.

This was a very entertaining read. Don’t get me wrong, there was some very serious subject matter in this book but the interactions between Troy and Shane makes this read so amazing. I will be honest and say this is the first book I have read in this series but I will be reading more and I truly hope the next book will be Xavier’s book because I feel like it will be an incredible read.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
