In their differences, they’ll find strength—and love.

Alpha werewolf Eli Hammond returns from a fishing trip to discover a nasty surprise—five members of his pack murdered and the rest missing. He needs help locating and rescuing his pack mates, but the supernatural council in Asheville, North Carolina, turns him away.

Except for one man.

As they work together, Eli is stunned—and not especially thrilled—to discover half-elf Arden Gilmarin is his destined mate. But as Arden and his friends struggle to help Eli in his quest, Eli surrenders to the demands of his body—and his heart. They’ll need to bond together, because the forces opposing them are stronger and more sinister than anyone predicted. The evil has its sights set on Arden, and if Eli wants to save his mate and the people he is entrusted with protecting, he’s in for the fight of his life.

That’s the Alpha’s Mate?

This book has everything. It’s a mystery, a fantasy, it has shifters, elves, magic, witches, vampires, and odd pairings. What’s not to like.

I love the storyline. The Alpha comes back from his fishing trip and finds his pack missing or dead. He goes to the Council for help and they refuse him thinking his issue is not worthy of their help, but one man stands up to help him – a pretty dainty elf. The elf, Arden, enlists the help of his friends, a vampire and a mage, to help the Alpha, Eli, find his missing packmates and solve the mystery of what happened on his Packlands. They also find out that they’re destined mates.

My favorite location was Arden’s parents home and his home. I loved that they lived in a treehouse. The design of the house was really cool and beautiful.

Arden was a great character. He is like a supermodel crossed with a sitcom-mom. He’s a caretaker so he loves taking care of people and their problems, but he’s also pretty and perfect Alpha mate material. Eli is a typical alpha but more subdued. Arden’s friends are great. The vampire is the serious one and gorgeous. The Mage is your typical loving bestfriend and cuddly.

I love that the author included some “oh no” moments in the story. The kind of situations you would not think would happen. They really created some wonderful suspenseful and intense moments.

The ending was awesome. What you hoped would happen happened plus a little something extra. A great HEA.

I highly recommend this book if you love wolf shifter stories, ones that include elves and vampires and witches and magic. You will absolutely love this book.
