A SINGLE BASKETBALL GAME CHANGES EVERYTHING…
When they were only teenagers, Axel and Caxton were caught making out in the woods at church camp. And afterward, Cax had disappeared from all the youth group activities.
Six years later, Axel is astonished to spot his first love’s face in the crowd of a college basketball game he’s watching on TV—at a school which has just offered him a job. It’s a thousand miles away, in a tiny rural town. But suddenly, he can’t wait to get there.
Cax can’t believe his eyes when Axel appears in the same Massachusetts town where he now lives. And he’s still just as drawn to Axel as ever. But he can’t let himself go there again, because loving Axel will mean giving up everything else he holds dear.
Both men have so much to lose. But as far as their love is concerned, it’s Hello Forever.
Hello Forever is a stand-alone novel with no cliffhangers. Readers of Goodbye Paradise will get to check in on Caleb and Josh and their clan.
Hello Forever by Sarina Bowen is the follow-up story to In Front of God & Everyone. I didn’t read the blurb going in and was expecting different characters but the same circumstances as the first book but was pleasantly surprised to find the whole set up of the story was different.
Axel and Cax were childhood friends that developed feelings for each other. During one of their church’s weekend gatherings, they were caught kissing. And that would be the last time they’d see each other for many years, but they’d never forget each other.
Years later they live in the same town and are associated with the same university, but unfortunately, Cax still finds himself under his homophobic father’s rule because he wants to be there for his younger siblings. Seeing Axel though has brought forth all his longing and love for his best friend. Their circumstances set up a delicious push and pull.
-Despite the heavy topic, this story was surprisingly low angst.
-Fleshed out characters.
-We also got to catch up with Caleb and Josh.
-EMAIL MESSAGES! They were funny and sweet- just delightful.
-And the end was great and left me wanting a story for Jason!
Can this be read as a standalone? Yes, it can, but the first one’s pretty awesome so don’t miss out.
If you’re looking for an engaging, fast-paced, emotional, loving story then definitely give Hello Forever a go! 4 Stars! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
