A federal judge running from the truth.

A U.S. marshal running from his past.

A trial that can plunge the world into war.

Federal Judge Tom Brewer is finally putting the pieces of his life back together. In the closet for twenty-five long years, he’s climbing out slowly, and, with the hope of finding a special relationship with the stunning Mike Lucciano, U.S. Marshal assigned to his D.C. courthouse. He wants to be out and proud, but he can’t erase his own past, and the lessons he learned long ago.

But a devastating terrorist attack in the heart of DC, and the subsequent capture and arrest of the terrorist, leads to a trial that threatens to expose the dark underbelly of America’s national security.

As Russia beats the drums of war, intent on seeking revenge, and the United States struggles to contain the storm before it races out of control, secrets and lies, past and present, collide in Judge Tom Brewer’s courtroom. With the world’s attention fixed on Tom and this case, he suddenly discovers he may be the only person who can put everything together in time to stop the spark of a new world war.

Hush is a romantic suspense/legal thriller from the author of the phenomenal Executive Office Series. Crafted in the author’s trademark style, Hush is a fast- paced thriller with suspense, court room drama and oodles and oodles of heart-warming love.

The story is about how Tom Brewer a judge falls for the Marshall, Mike Lucciano, tasked with his protection. Tom has been in closet for so many years and he finally finds the courage to come out for Mike. The best part about the book is how the author has developed their love story. It is different from his previous books. The way their relationship progressed has been portrayed so beautifully that it will capture your heart. I loved that Tom and Mike found their fairy tale forever with each other and it was nothing short of soul-stirring. I especially loved the way author has characterized them. Their values, what they stand for and how they love each other comes through shining in every page of the book. I also loved the way the author has explored their sexual chemistry. The author has amped up the sex scenes and it’s definitely way hotter than before. The other best aspect of the story is the suspense thriller set in the back drop of court room drama. I love court room drama and legal thrillers and this book pushed all the right buttons. The extensive research and the author’s attention for detail shines through in the well etched scenes. The description and narration is meant to capture the attention and it does that. I turned every page in anticipation of what will happen next and the book kept me completely captive.

A number of interesting and colorful characters make up the secondary cast and they contribute really well to make the story flow seamlessly. I was especially intrigued by Kris and I cannot wait to read more about him (hopefully there will be more to read about him in future!!!). There is also a really cute basset hound,Etta Mae, whom I fell completely in love with. Etta Mae was hands down one of the best part of this book. Hush is a fantastic and masterfully crafted story which is guaranteed to take you on one hell of an adventurous and romantic journey. Highly Recommended…!!!
