Some live on memories…

Almost dying during a pack uprising has a way of shaking things up. I’m no longer Mr. Laid Back now that there’s an itch under my skin I can’t scratch.

On a volunteer mission that goes beyond the walls of our compound, we enter the territory of a pack long thought dead, and find ourselves on the business end of their spears.

What I’m not prepared for is what I find within their walls — The one shifter I never thought I’d see alive, the one I’d mourned twice, the one I’d always loved. He is alive, and if I have anything to do with it, he’ll stay that way. But he’s got secrets, and exposing them could lead us to an enemy worse than the bloodthirsty undead shifters wanting to kill us all…

Warning: Possible triggers include Nash’s abuse briefly mentioned a few times throughout the book.

Wow, just wow! The story just keeps getting better and better. To be honest, with this book I felt more interested/invested in the virus storyline than the romance between Bay and Nash. Don’t get me wrong, I am super excited and happy that they found one another again; to get their second chance. The patience Bay has (and needs to have) towards Nash was wonderfully sweet and awe-inspiring. Oh, and I cannot forget to mention all the crazy hot dirty talk 🙂 While they are not true mates, you wouldn’t be able to tell because of their love for one another runs deep. Even after being separated for fifteen years.

While we are still left wondering how and why the virus started, in this book we are given another piece of information that brings hope for everyone. It may not exist in their lifetime, but possibly their children’s, is amazing. I cannot wait to see where the author takes the story given all the new information, in addition to what may come in book three!

You cannot help but love all the secondary characters, as they are just important in the overall story as the MCs. Not only do we run into our old favorites like G, Vaughn and Jude we also get introduced to a few new characters like Pace, Barron and Vara. In the end, both Bay and Nash get their long-awaited and well-deserved HEA. Even the little surprise at the end, while sad in some ways was wonderful. My bet is on book three involving Vaughn, Pace and possible Cati. However, I could be wrong.

Just a FYI, this story’s format is slightly different from the first book. In book one, the POVs went back and forth within the chapter between Dare and Reese. However, this book is divided into three parts plus an epilogue; where each character tells the story from their POV. It starts off with Bay eventually concludes with Nash. It was a bit different coming off from the first book, but I quickly became accustomed to it and found that all my questions were eventually answered.

Galley copy of Chasing Destiny (Silver Tip Pack #2) provided by Megan Erickson in exchange of an honest review.

I love reading books about boys who love other boys <3. Sometimes there is a HEA or HFN, but sometimes it just is. Yes, I love all outcomes even it is not what I hoped for. We all need a good cry from time to time. As you can probably can tell, I love cliffhangers as well. Yeah, I am one of those people :) I read a variety of genres, whether it is dark/taboo, historical, shifters, GFY, SciFi, mysteries/thrillers; I love it all.
