I love him…but he’s forgotten why.
A lot can happen in six years, and Ash and Pete have seen their world flipped upside down more times than most. Being parents to Pete’s young nephew wasn’t in their plan, but life happens to them and they roll with the punches. Or at least they did, until new heartache rocks their hard-won happily-ever-after.
Ash loves Pete as much as ever—more, in fact—but Pete battles alone with a burden that weighs heavily on his heart. Ash is no stranger to dark clouds, but the secret Pete keeps from him is a storm that could break them.
Despite the fierce love that once buoyed them, they’re both drowning until a new friend throws them a lifeline. His wisdom offers insight—for better or worse, real love is rarely a smooth journey. For Ash and Pete to come full circle once more, they’ll have to hit the road and chase it.
Just because we love someone with all that we are does not mean we may not lose our way and then hope and pray that we can find it again.
Well that is what has happened with Ash and Pete. They have gotten to the point that they are letting life and all that goes along with it get in the way of their relationship. Now instead of communicating with one another they let things slide and it has put a damper on their relationship. Yes they love one another but do they remember why they love one another anymore?
Pete knows that something is tearing Ash up inside. It is written all over him but Ash shuts down anytime Pete tries to say something. Everything just seems to be moving around them while they are at a crossroads.
Pete gets the opportunity to head out-of-town for an art exhibit and he wants Ash to come along and hopefully finally get down to the bottom of what is going on but Ash refuses to go because of work but at the last-minute Ash decides to join Pete and this could be the best decision of both of their lives.
Pete and Ash finally come to head on the secrets between them and the effect it has had on each of them personally and in their relationship. Now they have to decide where to go from here. Can they make things work once all the things holding them back is out in the open or are they doomed to fall apart after all his time?
This is a great read. I truly enjoyed taking this trip with these two men and weaving through all the heartache and secrets. It was truly an incredible read. I definitely suggest his book for others to read.
