Hilton Burke might be one of the most powerful men in the world, but he can’t seem to get what he wants the most. Every time he sees Cathal McKinley, his head of security, Hilton can’t help wishing they could be more than just employer and employee. He even admits to himself that he just might be in love with Cathal, even though they’ve never even slept together.
Cathal McKinley accepts how much he wants his boss, Hilton Burke, but he’s pretty sure there’s no way Hilton will want to date him. They come from two different worlds. And now, having to return to Sunburst, Montana, to deal with family problems, Cathal knows there’s no chance for the two of them to get together.
Hilton and Cathal have spent years dancing around each other, but when Cathal needs help, Hilton comes to Montana to back him up. Soon, they’re dealing with children and an old friend who can’t take “no” for an answer. And finally admitting their love turns out to be the least of their worries…
I am so glad that Hilton and Cathal got their own book. I fell hard for these two in ” Why I love Geeks”. In that book you could feel the chemistry between these two so much that it was bleeding off he pages.
Cathal and Hilton both fought their attraction for one another. Both was scared to approach the other because they was both worried about rejection or ruining their friendship and working relationship. But when Cathal has a family crisis back in Montana Cathal did not think twice about jumping on a plane and heading out to help him. This was a turning point for these two men.
Cathal knew when he left to go to Montana that his father was dying and that he was about to become a dad to his four nieces and nephews. He never figured that Hilton would want any part of it but he was truly blown away when Hilton walked into his childhood home and fit perfectly with everyone in it. Because of the things that Hilton had done for him and the kids, Cathal knew it was time too open up to Hilton about how he feels about him and let him in.
After doing so, things went both bad and good but through it all both men knew they had each other.
This was a good read. T.A. Chase is an amazing author and knows how to suck in the readers. This book was no different and I hope their will be another book in this series, cause it is an amazing series.
