Can college roommates go from friends to lovers?

Kyle: I’m confident that with hard work, my position as point guard can carry me from rural Indiana to the NBA. I also know I’m attracted to guys, but admitting it might disappoint my father, who is all I have in this world. I have big dreams, so I’ll stay in the closet. As long as my life remains scandal-free, I have a shot.

Micah: My large family can’t spare the money to help with my education, but that won’t stop me from studying medicine. I needed to get out of the house I was sharing with my ex before I went insane. Luckily, I heard about a guy looking for a roommate. Living with a straight jock won’t be easy, but it’s a chance I’m willing to take.

What an excellent book and description of what not only someone who knows that they are gay but scared to act on it for fear of coming out and how people will react but also an even more excellent description of what I believe that an athlete feels in this position.

Coming out is not easy by any means for anyone but in some ways I am sure there is more pressure for some people that are athletes and coming out as gay. Not only do they have to worry about what friends and family is going to think and how they will react but they also have to worry about ho their teammates and their fans and the public is going to react also. So there is the added pressure. In the recent years it has gotten easier with more and more athletes coming out but their is still the fear of rejection.

That is what Kyle is faced with. He has only his father left and he is a red to death of losing him but he is also scared of losing the one thing that helped put his life back in order after losing his mom, basketball. When Micah moves in with Kyle and becomes his roommate, Kyle knows the attraction he feels for Micah is getting harder and harder to hide.

Kyle does not want to hide it anymore either once they get together but he is scared of the fallout of it. Micah is willing to go at Kyles pace and not pressure him when it comes to any of it but he also knows that it is tearing Kyle up inside and he does not want that either,

When life and mistakes happen, Kyles and Micah have to both figure out what is most important to them and how far are they willing to put their future at risk for the other. Can these two men make the right decision or will their futures end up lonely and lacking?

This was an extremely good book. I really enjoyed this read. It is so close to what I feel is realistic and that made it an even better read. I look forward to more books by Skylar in the future.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
