This is really a good read. It is long when you read all the books as one book. Well that is not even true because it is only part of the series considering this is the second volume. But as far as the volume goes it is long but that said it is one of those books that captures your attention and keeps it till the very last page.
Roan is having a hard time dealing with his inner lion. He keeps bouncing back and forth on whether he should stay and continue on in his marriage with his husband or if he should leave and let his husband have a chance at a normal life. Especially since it seems that his lionnis getting stronger with each passing day and Roan is scared he will no longer be able to control the lion one day.
What I believe Roan does not get is even though he is part lion, he is also a good guy. I don’t think that he feels that much. So I believe that he truly is struggling with what he believes is best. Roan does not get that if he was not there and if he did leave and get away from humans then he would be leaving them without his protection.
As things seem to get crazier for infecteds, Roan continues to struggle. Can Roan figure out just where he belongs or is he right and he is going to turn into a lion and not be able to Shift back.
This was such a great read. It is full of excitement and leaves you in the edge of your seat. I am so glad that I read his book. It truly was an incredible read. I look forward to more by Andrea Speed in the future.
