Agent Poe loves being part of the Agency—an organization devoted to protecting shape-shifters—and he especially loves his mate of only a couple of months, Nordik, the nigh immortal master bear shifter. He has the best of both worlds—the man he loves and the job he loves. But when Nordik reveals he’s ready to rejoin society and accompany Poe on his missions, Poe must take the next step and make them a full partnership.

After the Agency intercepts a message from Arcas, the leader of the Knights of the Dawn—a cult bent on the annihilation of shifters—meant for his followers, their job gets a whole lot harder. The Knights don’t bother keeping their activities hidden anymore, stretching the Agency’s resources thinner than ever.

After a near-fatal mission almost costs Poe his life, Nordik insists on a break for both of them. They visit Poe’s family in Ireland and learn that true danger lies not without, but within. There’s no greater betrayal than that of a loved one.

THis was he first book that I read in this series but I have to say that I really liked it. There is a bit of mystery, suspense, of course there are shifters, there is danger, intrigue, and above all heartache and heartbreak. It truly was an incredible read, especially with being able to add all of those components into one book.

Poe is one of those people that does not believe in giving up. He is a mate to a master bear shifter. He is a special agent. He is also a soldier. Those things combined makes him an incredible agent. Especially since he is not only fighting the good fight for shifters but he is also fighting the good fight for fellow agents.

Poe’s mate is Nordik. Nordik is beyond strong in his own accord but being mated to Poe makes him even more strong and gives him determination to boot. He is determined to not only keep Poe safe but he is also determined to help keep his fellow shifters safe. In order to do this Nordik has to step out of his comfort zone and join the agency along with Poe.

This gives both men an edge they normally did not have and they are going to need it when fighting the war against Arcas. Arcas is so powerful and has the ability to persuade people with only his voice so to say that Poe and Nordik have a huge fight in their hands along with other agents is an understatement.

These two men have to expect the unexpected because if not then they will be thrown off their game and the end results.

This was an amazing read. I truly enjoyed this read and I look forward to the next book in this series to see what Nordic and Poe will have to face next in order to take down Arcas.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
