Kezia’s been harboring feelings for Magdalena for what feels like an eternity. She’s made peace with that. But when her happily committed best friend is suddenly single, that peace is disturbed. Especially when Magdalena comes to Kezia asking for a huge, unreasonable favor. Kezia doesn’t know how to say no, even though she knows she should. Will she be able to maintain her composure while helping the broken-hearted Magdalena? Or will pretending to have the girl of her dreams only lead to a broken heart of her own?

My first F/F! I thought I’d try something different, but I can’t say I liked this one. I don’t think it had anything to do with the fact that these were two women instead of men either.

Kezia has been harboring a secret crush on her friend Magdalena for some time now. When Magdalena breaks up with her girlfriend, she asks Kezia to pretend to be her girlfriend while visiting her family at Christmas. But Kezia doesn’t quite know how she can keep her feelings to herself.

I always love a fake relationship story, but here I never connected with these women. I especially had a hard time believing in the friendship between Kezia and Magdalena. Apparently they had been friends for many years but neither ever met the other one’s family. That just seemed strange to me.

I also thought Magdalena was quite the drama queen, and Kezia a bit of a doormat.

Overall I can’t say this was a success.
