Governor Chris Rock is Carli Katana’s boss—well, ex-boss. And now that she’s run off with her man candy, Whiskey Crown, Chris finds himself in trouble. Without her keeping him out of the press, out of trouble and in check, he’s in for a dick of a lifetime. I mean, a trip of a lifetime.

Arriving in New York for a Governor’s something or other, he’s finding himself in a predick-ament. As a prolific public figure and ex-Marine, there’s always been an expectation of who Chris is and should be; strong, dangerous, fearless, and the typical man’s man. But that’s not him. And as he finds himself longingly staring at the speaker, Tyler Marshall, Chris knows he’s in trouble. Tyler is gorgeous, and he’s everything Chris looks for in a man. The real problem is that in this venue, Tyler’s unattainable.

**This novella has characters from both the Crown and Anchor series and the standalone Rushed. It’s sexy hot and full of laughs. Pre-warning you about it won’t do you any good.**

I was not too sure if this book was going to be good or not when I first started reading it but it turned out to be very good and very entertaining. The two main characters are great but I have to be honest in saying that the supporting character Julia and Carli are what made this book truly amazing and very funny. Both women are best friends to Tyler and Chris and they are both hard as nails and pack a punch. They do not let either of these men get away with anything. They truly made this book so much better.

Chris is in the closet and has a wife that is not his wife but his best friend that is starting to resent him. They are married in name only so as to hide the fact that he is gay. Chris cannot come out because he is a political figure in a state that does not allow him to be open about his sexuality.

When Chris goes to a conference the last thing he expects to happen is to be outed in the most embarrassing way possible

, by being intimate and photos taken by a reporter.
Chris knows this is probably the end of his career but at the same time he is glad to not have to hide anymore.

While at the conference he meets a man that has boxed his heart up and does not let anyone even close to it, Tyler. Tyler is scared of being hurt again but he knows that there is something different about Chris. That does not make it easy to trust him though. Especially since he is married and just outed.

Nonetheless these two cannot stay away from each other. Can two men that have so many obstacles standing in their way find each other or will this just be heartbreak waiting to happen?

I really did enjoy this read. It was very good and I will definitely be looking forward to reading more books by Kerri Ann in the future.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
