A Taboo M/M Romance

Kane may be older than Levi—by six minutes—but he’s always found comfort in knowing Levi would be the one to take charge. That’s how it’s always been. But all it takes is one winding road and a sudden storm for their world to shift in an instant. As Levi struggles to cope, Kane has no choice but to become the strong one.

But where Kane wants things to go back to normal, Levi seems determined to change as much as possible. He starts acting differently, more recklessly, and Kane isn’t sure what to do. What can he do, after all? He can’t stop Levi from flirting with every guy that breathes, or from going to every party on campus. But when Levi begs Kane to join him at a Halloween party, Kane finds himself in a predicament he never imagined. He’s given in to a passion he didn’t know he had, and worse—he doesn’t regret it.

Faced with the reality of his growing desires, Kane starts to pull away from Levi. But no matter what he does, Kane can’t fight his yearning, and Levi isn’t making it any easier. Though Kane keeps asking himself, “what’s wrong with me?” maybe Kane should be asking what’s wrong with Levi… And will it tear them apart for good?

Our Gentle Sin is a contemporary m/m romance of a taboo nature that some readers might find objectionable. It contains explicit sexual content between two consenting adults, violence, coarse language, and the use of sexual slurs. It is not appropriate for readers under 18 years of age.

If you are ok with the taboo of twins hooking up then this book is for you. It is an incredible read that leaves you emotionally wrought once you’re done reading it.

Kane and Levi are identical twins. Both attend the same college but these two men are different as night and day. Levi is outgoing, reckless, and is studying pre-law. Kane is the quieter one of the two. He does not like big crowds, he is a photography student, and is more on the reserved side. But through everything in their lives thus far they have been in each other’s pockets and truly enjoy spending time together.

At the beginning of their break from college something unexpected happens and it truly shatters these two men and and makes Levi even more reckless and Kane definitely turns more inward and reclusive. Both still see one another but it is obvious that Levi is pulling away from Kane and Kane is having a very hard time with that. Levi is not only his twin but also his best friend and the only family he has left. So Kane really takes Levi pulling away from him hard.

The one thing that Kane makes sure that he is available for is the photo shoots that Kane has to do for school and for their blogs. This is mainly the only time that the two really get to spend much time together so of course Kane cherishes these times.

Halloween is upon these two before they know it and Levi begs Kane to attend the Halloween party but the catch is both will dress up but not tell the other what they are. They are to find each other at the party and see if they can recognize the other without help from anyone else.

This is when things change between these two and leaves Kane adrift and confused and Levi becoming more of a stranger than ever before. Things will never be the same between them again.

This book is definitely an erotic read as far as the twincest is concerned but in being honest I have to say that there is so much more story here than just that. This is one of those books that leaves you heartbroken more than once through the read and also blows you away at other times with the twists that the author takes. I have to say that I am definitely glad that I read this book. It is one of those reads that will stay with me for a while. Lyra Evans definitely did an amazing job on this book and I look forward to more books in the future.

Galley copy of Out Gentle Sin provided by Lyra Evans in exchange of an honest review.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
