Adam’s lack of faith starts affecting his relationship with Rho. He’s afraid of coming face to face with the enemy and hires a trainer to get physically strong, but failure in his training keeps him down and unable to focus on Rho. What Adam doesn’t know, is Rho has no plans of letting him go, and he will make sure Adam sees they could still have a future together. Only Adam isn’t willing to let go of his anger and guilt.
Another good book in this series where more and more of Adam’s past and present comes to light. Ellie Fox has definitely caught my attention with this series and has kept it from one book to the next leaving me each time waiting impatiently for the next book in the series to come out.
Trigger Warnings: This series has forced sex, abuse, and rape.
Adam definitely did not have it easy with Marcus. And those who thought things would get better for Adam now that Marcus is gone, well let’s just say he may have more roaming freedom but he is definitely not free nor is he out of danger. In fact with Marcus gone I truly believe that Adam is in more danger than ever before. Marcus was far from a good man. He is the one that set everything that has happened to Adam into motion but at the same time there was at least the known for Adam where Marcus was concerned. Now it is the unknown that Adam needs to really be concerned with.
Rho is just as much in love with Adam as always but he knows that something is going on with Adam and is determined to figure out what it is. Rho thought that now that Marcus is gone that he and Adam could finally be together without fear but that has not happened and Rho does not understand what is stopping Adam but he will find out.
Another player in this series that has caught my attention is Brandon. This is a man that is so in love with Marcus that he would go to extreme lengths to please Marcus including harming himself and possibly others. The hold that Marcus had on this man is something that beings fear to me. I hope to learn more about him and his fate in the next book.
This book is definitely the most enlightening thus far. The other two previous books were just a teaser compared to this one and I have a feeling the next one is going to completely blow us away. Ellie Fox has a way of making each book much better then the last and leaving the reader wanting more. Can’t wait till the next book to come out.
