My boss asked me out.
Not just any boss, either. World-famous billionaire Blade Harrington wants me– me, a lowly intern– on his arm on Valentine’s Day.
Will it be a romantic night… or the worst mistake of my life?

M/m romance. 13,000 words short story.

This short story really was a sweet, good read. I was pleasantly surprised that once I started reading it I could not put it down nor did I want to. I have never read anything of Gem Frost’s before but I will say that I am glad that I read this one and I will definitely read more by Gem in the future. Honestly this was such a good read that I wish it would have been longer.

Val is an intern. This is his first job since he has graduated college. So when he gets an email that tells him to be in the CEO’s office at 2pm, Val is a little agitated and unsure of what he has done wrong. He is so nervous that when he finally gets to Blade’s office he about passes out.

Unsure of what he has done wrong, Val nearly passes out again when Blade finally lets him in on why he wants to see him. Blade is in need of a date for the Valentine’s Galla that he has to attend. There is no way that he is going to go by himself. Especially since his ex, Roger, is going to be there. Yes it may not be right to try and rub it in his face that he too has moved on but Blade cannot seem to make himself care about that. So when the opportunity arises, Blade decides to ask the cute intern that he has not been able to get off his mind since he first saw him.

What will happen when Val learns that Blade only asked him out to get back at his ex? Will Val give Blade a chance or will he put an end to things immediately?

I truly enjoyed this book. My only complaint is I wish it had been longer because it was a good read in my opinion. I look forward to more books by Gem in the future.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
