Two werewolf households, both alike in dignity….

Rome Siracusa, youngest son of the alpha of the nouveau-riche Siracusa pack, wants to be a faithful son and pack member, but he’s got two big secrets. One, he’s blessed with enhanced hearing, vision, strength, and the ability to shift at will. Second, he’s gay, a fact he can’t admit to his deadly homophobic father.

Rome crashes a party at the mansion of his pack’s greatest enemy, the ancient, pure-blooded Havillands. Jules, the gay son of the drunkard alpha, is being married off to a rich entrepreneur. Smitten and moved by the beautiful male’s plight, Rome tries to find a way to save Jules—while digging himself deeper into pack politics and navigating his own arranged marriage. Secrets climb out of the caves as the werewolf gods speak through the mouths of their children, and the two great families clash, suffocating the hopes of star-crossed lovers.

What an incredible read. I was so into this book that I stayed up till after midnight in order to finish it. This book is action packed, suspenseful, and definitely a gay modern day Romeo and Juliet but instead of those names it was Rome and Jules.

Rome is the youngest wolf shifter for the Siracusa Pack. His father is the alpha Benedetto of the pack and is extremely upset that out of his three boys he did not get an Alpha. Or so he thought anyway. The thing is Rome is an Alpha and has known for a while that he is but he is keeping it to himself other than his grandfather. Rome knows that if his dad was to find out that he is an Alpha then if Rome ends up running away from his pack his father would move heaven and earth to find him because of his status. Rome has another secret that is even bigger then being an Alpha…Rome is also gay. Rome is not ashamed of being gay but he knows that his pack and especially his family is homophobic and they will at the very least kick him out if the pack but at worst they could kill him. So for now he is keeping it to himself. Or at least that is he plan until he meets Jules that is.

Jules has been in New York tucked away from his pack the Havillands. Though his family accepts that he is gay, it is still not easy. Especially living in a town like Dark Habor where the other pack is so homophobic. Does not help either that both packs are sworn enemies. When Jules is made to return in order to protect his pack and save them from bankruptcy by being forced to marry a man named Alexander, this is when things really get interesting.

A party is thrown for Jules’ return and Rome crashes the party though he is not supposed to be there. Rome realizes after just one look that Jules is the man for him. When these two sneak around to get to know one another better the sparks fly. But the issue is still the same…these two are sworn enemies and now both Rome and Jules are set to be married in arranged marriages, just not to each other.

How will things turn out for these two star crossed lovers? Can they figure out a way to be together or is it all pointless? Will they be able to follow their hearts or will they both end up miserable married to someone else in the end?

This was really a good book. There is so much action in this book that it makes it incredibly exciting to read. Tara Lain did an incredible job on this book. In all honesty I would not mind this turning into a series because this was such a good read and I would love to be able to read about these two in another book. Incredible read!!!

Author

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
