Q & A with Lynn Michaels

Lynn Michaels is here at GBR answering some and various random questions…

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color are you and why?

Scarlet Blue. That’s a fancy way of saying purple, right? I love purple…its the rebel of the box. No one’s sure what it is, but it’s still there being all scarlet blue!

I love the super powers question… which power would you pick?

I played that with my kids when they were younger. I always pick telekinesis. You can do ANYTHING with that one. You can move anything. Move yourself—fly. Telepathically get another cup of coffee without ever getting off the couch. I used to do that. Its called making the kids refill it!! They’ve all left home now, so I need telekinesis.

Who do you think is your most popular character and why?

That has to be Davie from Holeshot. I had no clue when I wrote that, but he’s very popular. I thought people would love Tyler better. He’s cute and funny and quirky, but Davie… he loves racing, riding that bike. His passion shows. He takes no shit. And he loves Tyler beyond reason. And he has a superhero fetish… so there’s that.

What was your inspiration for Out Of The Ocean?

I always get the inspiration question. This one was a very different story. I’d started writing it for a particular purpose, though that purpose kind of fell through. People don’t always see eye-to-eye on things. But, the story was still amazing, so I had to put it out. That doesn’t really talk about inspiration, but once I had the purpose for the story, the rest kind of fell in place.

What was the hardest part of writing Out Of The Ocean?

Research. I did tons and tons of research on this one. I had to. I wanted it to feel as realistic as possible.

Do you collect anything?

Yes, I have several collections…MM Romance book cover magnets, coffee mugs, unicorns, and Boba Fett from Star Wars. I even have a Boba Fett mask. I’m a closet geek.
