Dying is all in a day’s work. Love is more dangerous.

Ghostwalker Sam Jones has been half in love with Michael King since he started working at Requiem Inc. But Michael is his boss and a Guardian, to boot. Sam thinks they could make it work anyway, but Michael uses his position and his age to keep Sam at arm’s length.

When Sam continues to volunteer for the most dangerous cases, Michael has to intervene. He tells himself he’s just doing his job, but he’s always seen Sam as more than another operative, and he can’t bear the thought of not taking his chance. The connection between them has been strong from the beginning, and Michael’s telepathy adds unexpected depth and an edge to their new romance, but working together while they try to build their relationship might be the hardest part of their job if they don’t make some sacrifices.

This book was soooooo good. I truly enjoyed this read. I have found that I really like the science fiction/paranormal reads tremendously. This book was one of those books that I got into and could not put it down. I am glad that I read this book. Like I said, Soooooo good!!

Sam is a ghostwalker. When he was young and they found out that Sam’s brother Blake was also a ghostwalker, Sam was tested and found to have the same gene. Their parents pretty much turned their backs on them and so Sam and Blake both came to live at Requiem Inc. They both trained there and came to work there. That is how Sam met Michael King.

Michael King is Sam’s boss. He is also the Guardian. Being a guardian means that he watches out for his team of ghostwalkers and has to be there for them when he is needed. For this reason, and because he is older than Sam, and because he is Sam’s boss…. Michael has used those excuses to push Sam away.

Sam has been in love with Michael since he can remember but Michael continues to push Sam away. It is getting harder and harder for Sam to be around Michael all the time and not have his feelings returned.

One moment of passionate arguing leads these two men to a passionate kiss. The kiss leads to Michael once again pushing Sam away. In the process of pushing Sam away, he truly pushes Sam to the brink. Sam decides that he needs transfer to a new unit and town in order to finally once and for all get over Michael.

What will happen between these two once Michael realizes that he might lose Sam once and for all?

This was such an incredible read. I truly could not put this book down. It was one of those books that capture the attention of the reader from the very beginning and keeps your attention to the very end. This is definitely one of those books that I would recommend to others that like science fiction/paranormal reads. I’ll definitely be reading more by Kris in the future.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
