We never should’ve been anything more than roommates.

DREW: Life dealing me a hard blow is nothing new. What’s one more sucker punch?

When my uncle offers me a job working at his MMA training center, I jump at the chance to turn my life around…not upside down and questioning everything I know about myself.

Light Heavyweight Champion Asher Ramsey is the definition of a ladies’ man. His stormy gray eyes and inked skin call to the artist in me and make me itch for my pencils and sketch pad so I can capture every detail. If I’m honest, they make me itch to touch every detail too, which confuses me.

After he offers to let me stay in his guest room, I discover there’s more to Asher than he allows the world to see.

ASHER: My life is a lie. A play written and directed by my PR manager.

With the biggest fight of my career only weeks away, my focus is on securing my title. Losing my belt to some new up-and-comer isn’t an option, and I can’t afford any distractions. Or an unwanted attraction.

When Drew begins working at the gym where I train, my priorities waver. To make things worse, I offer to let him stay with me until he finds a place of his own. It’ll be fine. Sure, I’m attracted to him, but I’m an expert at hiding behind the mask of a straight man. Besides, he’s completely off-limits. Not that it matters–we don’t even play for the same team.

What’s the worst that can happen?

This was truly a great read. I really enjoyed this read. There is some drama but it made it so much better.

Asher is a MMA fighter. He loves his career and he is good at it. But what he does not love is the fact that his PR manager keeps coming up with schemes to cover up the fact that he is gay. All Asher wants to do is fight and to leave all these fake dates behind him. But so far that has not happened.

Drew is having a hard time. He lost his job and is now being kicked out because he does not have the money for rent. So while he is looking for a job, his best friend Claire is letting him stay with her. She suggests that Drew call his uncle Pete and ask for a job.

Though Drew is not thrilled about doing so, he gives in and calls Pete. This could be life changing for him. As a matter fact, this is where he finally starts to actually live. And in part that is thanks to Asher.

Asher and Drew start to get closer the more they know each other. And the closer they get the more Drew finds himself questioning himself and the attraction that he is feeling for Asher. This completely confuses Drew at first but when he comes to accept the fact that he does want Asher, well that is when he goes all in.

The problem? Well Asher is not all in. Can these two figure out where they are going and if they are going there together. Will Asher choose Drew or will he let his career make the decisions for him?

This was a really exciting read. I truly enjoyed his book. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to read it. I look forward to more books by Baylin Crow in the future.

Author

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
