Shifter Aaron Harper gets drawn into illegal underground fighting to keep an eye on his best friend. The thrill of the fight keeps him coming back for more, but discovery could mean imprisonment and banishment from their pack. Without a beta to watch over them, common sense takes a back seat.

Michael Archer of the Shifter Crimes Task Force is investigating recent murders. Despite the brutal cause of death pointing to the work of a shifter’s claws, instinct tells him a well-known nightclub owner is involved, but they have no proof.

Aaron and Michael’s paths cross after another body with the same injuries is discovered. With Aaron finding himself on the wrong side of the SCTF and Michael looking for a killer, any attraction between them is both ill-advised and unlikely. But fate has other ideas.

This was an incredible read. I loved every minute of it. The mystery, the danger, the love story….. it was all just so good. The fact that this basically a spin off of the “Regent’s Park Pack” series makes it even better. Annabelle Jacobs definitely has another winner on her hands with this book that is for sure.

Aaron and his best friend Harry have been hiding something from their “Clapham Common” pack. They’ve been doing something forbidden and considered illegal. Aaron has been fighting in an underground fighting ring and Harry has been attending the events and placing bets. Everything’s been fine so far but there’s about to be something to get them in trouble if they don’t quit while they’re ahead. Or is it too late for that?

Both Harry and Aaron know they have gotten in over their heads when the ring leader White decides to take an interest in Aaron after his fight. Even worse is Harry owes White money. Aaron knows the time to get out is now and the only way everything will turn out alright is for them to come clean with their alpha and face the punishment that’s theirs for doing something they should not have.

The only thing is, it is already too late because the last fighter that Aaron fought turns up murdered and Aaron’s blood is on part of the crime scene. The only good thing to come of this is that Aaron and Harry have already admitted everything to their alpha.

When Aaron meets the Detective in charge of the case, Aaron knows that there is an undeniable attraction between the two. Worse yet, the Detective, Michaels, knows it as well. He can feel the attraction but he knows he cannot do anything about it because it could jeopardize their case.

Can two men that are complete opposites and in the middle of a murder investigation find a way to make what is slowly building between them into more or is it possible that the attraction between them will dwindle away once the investigation is complete?

This was such an exciting read. I enjoyed every moment of it. Annabelle held my attention and had me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole read. I really enjoyed this book and hope that she will turn this into a series. Amazing read. I look forward to more of Annabelle’s books in the future.

Author

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
