My mom always told me that I was better than random hookups but she was a drug addict, what did she know. Sex fulfilled a need in me. I’m not your average college student, but like many students I have one professor I fantasize about. Professor Marks is a great big no-no in the hookup department, so why can’t I stay away?

I’m a professor of psychology at the University. Being in my position, it was necessary to keep him at a distance. But, he’s slowly becoming an obsession of mine, the sexual tension between us is stifling. Now, we are expected to work together when all I want to do is bend his ass over the table. How will I be able to keep my hands to myself?

Can an unexpected ally bring these two people together and teach them the meaning of family?

Trigger Warnings: Child Abuse, Rape, graphic imaginary.

Talk about a book that will grab your heart and break it into a million pieces and then turn around and put you back together again. More than once. This book describes exactly what happens to some in real life but is not based off of actual events.

It is wrong for a student and a professor to be involved. It is wrong in the eyes of so many but when you meet the person you are meant to be with, sometimes right and wrong are not what matters. Sometimes what matters most is happiness you can find in a world full of so much hate and evil.

Ryan is a student in college. He is the type of person that does not get involved in relationships with either men or women. He has a fierce rule for himself of no repeats. For some reason he believes this is the best course of action for him especially since he does not believe in love.

But when he realizes the professor he has been fantasizing about also has the hots for him as well, well Ryan cannot help to pursue things between them even though he knows he is putting them both in danger of getting caught. If they were to get caught then not only could Ryan lose his scholarship but Philip could lose his job as a professor as well.

After Ryan’s mother is killed, Ryan decides he needs to go to a meeting where others know the same type of pain that he has gone through with his addict mother. To his surprise, Philip is the one who leads the group. But more than that, Ryan and Philip’s lives are about to take a major change when Ryan meets a little girl named Abby at this meeting. Abby approached Ryan to offer her sympathy for his loss but in a remarkable bout of trust, opens up to Ryan about what has been happening to her.

This book is such an emotional read. You will be on a complete emotional roller coaster the whole way though this book. I found myself crying, becoming angry, heartbroken, and smiling throughout this read. As I said, a complete emotional roller coaster. This is definitely a book I would highly recommend to others to read so long as none of the triggers above affect you. I definitely look forward to more books by Ember-Raine Winters in the future.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
