Ever since the enigmatic street musician Sebastian wormed his way into Meik’s life, he’s felt off kilter. Unable to stop his thoughts from swirling back to the musician, he decides to settle into an arrangement with him. There is no love. There is no romance. Instead, Sebastian gets a warm place to sleep, and Meik gets a warm body to use to his liking.
The perfect bargain.
But when Sebastian’s presence starts to unlock old memories, hidden away for almost ten years, Meik finds himself in uncharted territory. Haunted by nightmares, he starts to unravel under the dark reminiscences that carved him into the man he is today.
Dive into their world of lust and desire, find out about Meik’s hidden past and whether Sebastian can help him overcome his demons.
If you haven’t read the first part where they meet, head over to amazon and get Obsessed #1 for free right now. I don’t know how long it’ll be for free though. In the first part there’s no romance.
So, this is the second installment of Meik and Sebastian and it’s here where I feel the story really takes off. The plot might not be so original, but the way the authors write it is what makes it special. Meik can’t understand how he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about Sebastian. With a little helpful advice from his assistant, Lillie -who’s awesome by the way, Meik decides to offer a deal to Sebastian. However I couldn’t help but laugh at how Meik had this asshole persona he tried to keep up but at the same time he finds excuses to do some good. Since it’s Meik we’re talking about, he can’t do it like he really cares though and the way he’s totally oblivious to how others may have differing opinions…
In this story I went from thinking of Meik as a jerk, then laugh, and then aww. Only to go back to jerk and go through it all over again… But come on… Meik washed Sebastian’s hair… of course not in a gentle way!
It could just be, that Meik is really that selfish and uncaring…
Meik’s flashbacks/dreams give us a deeper understanding to his personality and I really like how these characters are written. I love how submissive Sebastian can be and you think he’ll let Meik get away with anything and then just… no. For being so short, I feel like the authors have succeeded in making Meik’s and Sebastian’s characters feel alive and complex and the whole story makes me feel a spectrum of emotions.
This story ends in a cliffhanger. The sexy times are hot with SM elements, there are sweet and amusing moments and the romance is building up. So far, I love it.
