Island Classifieds: Book One

His mother. His best friend. The barmaid at the local pub. Everyone is determined to find Nathan Moffatt a boyfriend. It’s the last thing Nathan wants. After spending every day making sure his clients experience nothing but romantic magic, the Granshire Hotel’s wedding organizer just wants to go home, binge watch crime dramas, and eat pizza in his underwear.

Unfortunately, no one believes him, and he’s stuck with lectures about dying alone. Then inspiration strikes. He needs the people in his life to want him to stay single as much as he does. He needs a bad boyfriend.

There’s only one man for the job.

Flynn Delaney is used to people on the island of Ceremony thinking the worst of him. But he isn’t sure he wants the dubious honor of worst boyfriend on the entire island. On the other hand, if he plays along, he gets to hang out with the gorgeous Nathan and piss off the owners of the Granshire Hotel. It’s a win-win.

There’s only one problem—Flynn’s actually quite a good boyfriend, and now Nathan’s wondering if getting off the sofa occasionally is really the worst thing in the world.

I have to say that this was a good book with a few twists towards the end I did not see coming at all. That’s what I love about books. Anything can happen and it usually does!!!

Nate is a wedding planner. He loves his job of making people’s dreams come true for their happy day. It is a day that he wants each and every client to walk away from with a memory of the day they will never forget.

Everyone in his home town has decided it is time for Nate to meet someone as well. Even his best friend and mom are trying to hook him up. They believe he has been alone for far to long and that if something does not change that he will die an old cat man by himself.

Dating is the last thing Nate wants to do. He spends so much time making sure everyone else has a happy wedding that he only wants to stay home and watch bad TV and relax when he gets down time. But evidently everyone else has other plans for him.

So Nate comes up with his own scheme to get everyone to back off and hopefully on board with his being alone till he is ready. He decides to enlist the bad boy of their town into his little scheme and have him not only be the bad boy of their town but also to be known as the Bad Boyfriend as well so everyone will believe he is better off alone.

At first Flynn is not on board with this scheme but after thinking about it he decides maybe he can get what he wants out of it as well. That is to have Nate’s best friend Max and his father back off on trying to buy his place from him. And maybe a little slap in the face to Max as well for dating his best friend.

Things start off good between these two. They definitely become the talk of the town after just one date. Of course being a small town everyone has their opinions and they are of course the not so good opinions of Flynn but that does not stop the two men when it comes to their end game. But something else might that neither man sees coming. What happens when the bad boyfriend turns out not to be so bad after all?

This was a really good read. I enjoyed this book greatly. It is both funny and serious at times and boy are the rumors that fly around this small town hilarious and sad to the point that this is exactly what happens when people are up in other people’s business. It is sad but in some instances a reality. This is definitely high on my like meter for books. I look forward to more books by TA Moore in the future!!

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
