A tomcat, a psychopath, and a psychic walk into the desert to rescue the men they love…. Can everybody make it out with their skin intact?
PI Jackson Rivers and Defense Attorney Ellery Cramer have barely recovered from last November, when stopping a serial killer nearly destroyed Jackson in both body and spirit.
But their previous investigation poked a new danger with a stick, forcing Jackson and Ellery to leave town so they can meet the snake in its den.
Jackson Rivers grew up with the mean streets as a classroom and he learned a long time ago not to give a damn about his own life. But he gets a whole new education when the enemy takes Ellery. The man who pulled his shattered pieces from darkness and stitched them back together again is in trouble, and Jackson’s only chance to save him rests in the hands of fragile allies he barely knows.
It’s going to take a little bit of luck to get these Few Good Fish out alive!
Once again Amy Lane has done it!!! Another amazing book in this series. I swear Amy knows how to write a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time you are reading it. I truly hope this is not the end of this series because these guys have become like family and I cannot get enough of them.
Jackson and Ellery just thought they had seen the last of the crazy unhitched former or current military men. They thought that after killing Owen maybe it was all over. And now with Jackson finally almost 100 percent, and getting to go back to work again, they never expected a new case to be the continuation of what happened before.
When Ellery takes a case that could possibly lead them to who is behind making some of the military men into killers, he had hoped he and Jackson could keep safe this time. That is just not the case though because we all know that Jackson and Ellery just attract the crazy.
So when new evidence leads them to seek out Ace and Sonny to try and get more information, neither man expects for Ellery and Ace to be kidnapped. But because of this it leads to Ellery and Jackson now having more people join their group of non blood-related family. And family will do whatever is necessary to protect their own. The only thing is, when dealing with crazy, you never know what to expect, well expect to expect the unexpected. Unfortunately for all involved that is what happens. The unexpected. Now a life or two or ten could hang in the balance. Someone may not walk away from this one.
I truly enjoy how Amy Lane is able to draw in her readers and keep them wanting more. Not only is there the danger aspect to this story but there is also the love between not only these two men, but also those they consider family. These people are tight and would fight to the death for each other, no questions asked. I truly hope there will be another book in this series.
