Victor Docimo loved his mate more than anything, and he’s worked hard to provide Charles with the life that he deserved. He’s strived to be the Alpha that his own Father was not.
Charles spent the last twenty-six years mated to his perfect Alpha. He raised their son and managed their home. He’s tried to provide his Alpha with a family, despite the fact that he can’t have more children. After seeing Victor with another Omega, he begins to wonder if he’s enough.
Now, the two of them must face their greatest challenge yet, something that shouldn’t be possible: a broken bond.
I have to admit I loved book one in this series but I will be even more honest when I say I did not enjoy book three as much as the first two because I felt this book and book one were written out of order. This book should have been the first book. The reason I say that, is because these two men this book was written about are the fathers of the main character in book one. So I felt like we went backwards with this book.
I also felt there was so much in these two men in book one and how their lives ended up together that this was more of a recap and also a continuation of it for book three. So I will be honest in saying it was really hard for me to get into this book.
Regardless I read the book and it was a good read. Victor knew early in Charles was his soulmate and fated mate. But Charles did not recognize Victor was his. It took more time for that to happen for him. Regardless, Victor watched over Charles. And though it hurt for Victor to have to wait for Charles to realize they were fated mates, he knew he needed to wait for Charles to be ready to accept and recognize who they are to one another.
This book is the story of how these two met. How one man waited and yearned for the other until they could see what was in front of them. And this is a story of how it all came together in the end and they ended up happily together.
Like I said, this was a good read but I just wish this book would have been the first book instead of the third book. It took me longer to get into this read because I felt as if I already knew so much of the back story. I still look forward to more Jena Wade books in the future.
