When Josh’s sister, Cherry, is kidnapped, her family decides to follow the kidnapper’s instructions and pay the ransom. But when Josh gets attacked and robbed before freeing his sister, they have no choice but to call for the FBI’s help.

For Agent Phisburry, this is just another kidnapping. Once she successfully gets the girl back to her parents, safe and sound, the difficult task to find the kidnapper—who managed to get away with the ransom despite all the tracking devices—begins. She has to find who’s telling the truth, and who’s lying, to uncover what everyone’s trying to keep secret.

Talk about a mystery with heck of a twist that I did not see coming. This is one of those books that keeps you guessing till the true mystery is revealed. And the twists just keep coming. Alec Nortan definitely knew what he was doing when he wrote this book. Definitely a recommended read from me that is for sure.

This book is more of a mystery than it is anything. Josh is from a very wealthy family but his family treats him no more than an outcast. He has no access to their money and is only living under their roof because he pays them rent. But Josh has come to accept their treatment. At least he still has his sister Cherry. Though she does not really have much to do with Josh in any way other than knowing he is her brother.

Since his family cast him aside, all of his friends at school have done the same because he is no longer anyone of use without access to their money. So now Josh concentrates on his job and school work. That is really all he has. After working yet another late shift while other kids his age parties, including his sister, Josh returns home late and gets chastised once again by his father. But low and behold Cherry not being home yet is of no consequence to his parents because she is the good child.

The next morning when Josh awakens to find out that no one talked to Cherry the night before because of her returning home after everyone fell asleep threw Josh even more. Or at least it did until he checked the mail and finds a ransom note wanting $2 million dollars for the safe return of Cherry along with pictures of her being held captive.

Josh’s whole family is in a frenzy to try and do exactly what the kidnapper’s letter states but complications arise and lives are placed in danger. Who is behind Cherry being kidnapped? Will they get her back safely? Will they be able to recover the money and catch the kidnappers?

This book was so amazing. I completely enjoyed this book. It took so many twists and turns. In the end, the truth completely blew me away. I just could not believe how everything goes down. Definitely a book that needs to be read.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
