Betrayal is the most painful blow to bear, especially from the one you love most.
The time has come. Valis is ready to finally join the Aesriphos ranks in an official capacity. The only thing standing in his way is his joining night with Tavros. But with nineteen days left before their marriage, Valis and Tavros are fighting to retain their sanity. Strange things keep happening, intent on tearing them apart. And no matter what Valis does to find the source of their anguish, he’s blocked at every turn.
Incessant nightmares, visions, and heated arguments strain their relationship to the breaking point, and harrowing events escalate in number and severity. Valis is forced to watch helplessly as the evil shifts to focus its malice on Tavros. And with every mind-bending incident, Tavros creeps closer and closer to the ultimate betrayal.
Valis and Tavros must marry to join the Aesriphos Order if Valis has any chance at rescuing the lost god jar. But if he can’t find the source of the insanity, he may lose Tavros forever.
The M/M romantic elements in God Jars is a very slow burn. The God Jars Saga contains explicit material including violence, abuse, and M/M sexual encounters, and is not advised for anyone under the age of 18.
This series and I have the love and hate type of relationship going on between us. I love to read each book and I hate when they end. So love/hate relationship. This book was probably the most emotional in the series thus far. It is heartbreaking because as the title suggests there is going to a betrayal that is not only going to rock everyone’s world but going to cause some major problems between Tavros and Valis. This was a truly one of those reads you just cannot put down.
The gang from the Gods Of Jars is back and this time their worlds may just be blown apart by what is about to come their way. Valis and Tavros are impatiently waiting for their wedding. They have just a short time till the day arrives but while they are waiting they both still have obligations to fulfill and more training for what is to come in the future.
While waiting to be able to unite as one strange things start happening. Inexplicable things such as seeing things that are not there. Worse though is how Aryn has still not accepted the fact his older brother is the one Valis wants to be with and marry. Valis still feels bad that someone who was his best friend got his heart broken but the heart wants what the heart wants and Tavros is it for Valis. Valis’ only hope is that with time Aryn will come to accept that fact and they will all be able to be friends and family again.
As the strange occurrences continue to happen and more and more people become aware of them, tension starts to rise and if they do not all work together to figure out who or what is behind everything happening then someone could end up hurt or the visions Valis keeps having may just come true. And then no one will be safe.
This was such an amazing read. I just love this series. When I started the first book I was kind of skeptical but not even a quarter of the way through book one, I knew I had a series I would be following till the very end, and that has not changed one bit with each new book as it comes out. With the end of each book I cannot wait till the next one is available. Devon Vesper is an incredible author. I look forward to what is to come next!!!
