BUD/S: six months of the most intense training there is. It’s survival of the toughest, and Matt Knytych is determined to come out the other side a navy SEAL.

Distraction is life or death. And just the sight of former marine Shane Hovland is enough to shake Matt’s concentration.

Shane came to BUD/S training ready to prove himself—again. Semper Fi is forever, but he needs a new start. Not this dangerous heat with a man he barely knows.

Everything they’ve ever wanted is riding on a thin, punishing line. And they’ll have to fight for more than just each other if they want to make it through intact.

After all, the only easy day was yesterday.

Wow, talk about making you feel like you are right there along for the ride through all the pain and glory of going thru and making it to the end of BUD/S Training. This book was such a fascinating read. I really felt as though I was going through all the training right along with both of the main characters. Not to mention this book made you feel like you had a first class ticket to all of the emotions these two men felt throughout the whole read. There is definitely some serious aspects to this read both emotionally and physically but there is also just the right amount of humor to offset the seriousness.

Matt has known since he was little that he wanted to join BUD/S. So now that the time is here and he finally getting to do just that, he will let nothing stand in the way of him making it through all the training and getting his Trident. But that task is not going to be as easy as Matt first thought. When a man runs him over while jogging, Matt has to make himself walk away because it was immediately a distraction. When that same man walks in and is also in BUD/S Training, Matt knows he has no choice but to stay indifferent to him.

Shane knew he would see the man he ran over again. I mean who else would be jogging in full get up that was not joining BUD/S as well? So when Shane sees Matt again he is not surprised by it. What he is surprised about is how standoffish he is. There is so much tension between the two and competition to better than the other that their CO decides to make them water buddies. This is not an easy feat for either man but they what they have to do.

In the process the two men come to a sort of understanding and as time goes on they build a friendship as well. What Matt never expected was to also have this completely unexpected attraction to Shane that just would not subside. Shane feels the same way about Matt but Shane, though being hurt in his past, is not as quick to want to push the attraction to the side. Shane is tenacious in the fact that he wants Matt and Matt eventually has no choice but to give in to his feelings as well. What neither man expected was to fall in love while trying to complete the hardest thing they have ever done in their lives.

How could things possibly work out between two Seal Team members? Can they just spend time with one another only to walk away in the end?

This was such an exciting read. I could not put this book down nor did I want to put it down. I am so glad that there is going to be another book in this series and I hope that it is a continuation of Matt and Shane. There is definitely something special about these two men. You could just feel that in the writing. I so look forward to the next book and what is to come. I can’t wait!!!

Author

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
