Fast cars, testosterone and money. What can go wrong?
Elliott Judd has a lot to be thankful for. A lot! Men and women alike fall at his feet, and who is he to turn them away. A red hot racing driver, he’s out for as much as he can get his hands on. And he gets his hands on a lot. Elliott isn’t choosy, men or women, his motto is, if it’s fun, run with it.
Until Kyle Beaumont. A mechanic with a dream, he’s wanted to be the top of his game his entire life. And he won’t let a woman turn his head. Being straight, he hasn’t prepared for the advances of Elliott Judd. But Elliott prepared for him, and Kyle had better watch out; Elliott always gets what he wants.
With passion, testosterone and way more grease than is proper, all mixed with a healthy dose of fast cars and racetracks, you’d better buckle your seat belts for the ride of your life.
Karen Botha is also the author of the Naked Series of erotic romances. Buckle Up is her second series of erotic romances which are written and launched in short form.
I’m generally not fond of instalove trope but the narrative was smooth enough with just a hint of dark to keep me reading. It’s unbelievably hot story as tension between Kyle and Elliot climbs up and up. It’s very intense, forming a pull toward characters. Fair warning, there is sex with others, but strangely enough, it manages to become part of the play between two men.
It’s uncomplicated story focusing entirely on interaction between two men. Passion burns brightly with just enough vulnerability shown on part of both men to give meaning to explosive sex between them.
The story follows as relationship between Kyle and Elliot develops and morphs from sex to something more. The voice switches from one to another so their motivations are clear. They both have things in their pasts holding them back but connection between them is strong and pushing them forward. It’s intense and electric.
