Blurb:

A year ago, Kelly Cannon couldn’t imagine he’d end up with his formerly straight best friend. It’s hard to believe he can finally kiss Blue any time he wants… as long as they’re in private. And there’s the rub. Despite Kelly’s promise to wait until Blue is ready to come out, he’s tired of sneaking around. The cracks in their relationship are starting to show, and there might not be enough spackle in the world to fix them.

Britton “Blue” Montgomery may not be the physics brainiac his boyfriend is, but he’s not stupid. He knows Kelly isn’t completely happy. But he’s not ready to be the poster boy for bisexuals and gays in the NFL. He just wants to keep his head down, play the game he loves, and go home to the man he adores. Is that too much to ask?

With the truth slowly coming to the surface, Blue must make a choice. If it means losing Kelly, there’s no decision to make…. He has to find enough courage to face the music and hope they’ll survive the fallout.

Man. Happily-ever-afters may not be just for Disney princesses, but they sure are a lot of work.

This was a good read. This is the continuation of book one in the Rules Of Possession Series. S.E. Harmon went more in depth into Kelly and Blue’s life. It is not easy for two men that love one another when one man has to hide their relationship for the sake of his career. This is a more in depth look into the ups and downs these two men go through all for the sake of love and career. It was a very enjoyable read.

Kelly and Blue both admitted their feelings are one and the same for each other. They love one another but it is not easy to always be happy when that love has to stay behind closed doors. Kelly has been in love with Blue forever and now that he has him he is not willing to let something little as small as being out in public come between them. That does not always make it easy though. With only so few knowing about Kelly and Blue, it makes it hard when things like being chosen to give an incredible speech comes up and you cannot have the man that you love by your side as your significant other.

But it is not only hard on Kelly. It is hard on Blue as well. Blue is insecure about the fact that there is so much that he cannot give Kelly and other men could if Kelly chose them instead. Blue knows it hurts that he cannot claim Kelly as his own in public and to friends and family but Blue is not ready to come out. He knows being an NFL player and being openly bisexual would not be easy but neither is keeping this secret. There is also the fact that his family does not know and Blue is not sure if they would have his back if they knew.

At some point Blue is going to have to try and decide if coming out is worth it or if staying in the closet is the best bet. Can he decide what is best before he loses the most important person in the world?

I really enjoyed this read and I look forward to more books later by S.E. Harmon in the future.

Author

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.

Please comment! We'd love to hear from you.
