Bad in Baltimore: Book Six

Life is always looking for ways to screw you over. Scott McDermott survived the foster care system and knows better than to let anyone close, but Liam Walsh is his one vulnerability.

Twice Scott let down his guard, and twice Liam vanished from Scott’s life.

So when Scott comes face-to-face with Liam for the first time in six years, he punches Liam in the nose. Only after Scott’s friend—and Baltimore County police officer—Jamie reads him the riot act does Scott discover that in the intervening years Liam has been to war and lost his leg.

Liam hasn’t had the easiest life either. He took care of his drug-addicted mom when she was unable to take care of herself. He’s fallen in love with Scott twice, but when Liam saw Scott going down the same path as his mother, he left. The lesson that he can’t save everyone has been a painful one for Liam to learn. Maybe what he and Scott had can’t ever be fixed.

Scott and Liam have never fallen out of love—which becomes obvious when they start working together—but what will make this time any different from all the others? Will the third time really be a charm?

In my opinion this book is different from the rest of the Bad in Baltimore series. This book is about two men that have known each other since they were young and have had a previous relationship with one another. Neither man is well off and both struggle daily. This book in my opinion is the best book so far. It is more real life than any of the other books, though they were also somewhat realistic as well. K.A. Mitchell did another incredible job on this book. I always look forward to the books in this series. I know from the past books that they are going to be an amazing read.

Scott and Liam met in a group home. They came to blows with one another because what little possessions Scott has, they are his and Liam threw his most important possessions in the trash. Scott is not going to stand for this so blows were thrown.

What Scott never expected is to find out Liam did it in order to get Scott’s attention and now that he has it, he does not plan to let it go. And so begins the saga of Scott and Liam’s on again and off again relationship.

Now years later…..The last time Scott seen Liam was when Liam left him a Dear John letter and left. Scott has no clue where Liam went and now years later Liam is about to walk back into Scott’s life once again. But lots have changed since the last time they have seen each other while other things still remain the same.

When Liam left he joined the military and came back with only one leg. After lots of rehab and physical therapy, Scott is an EMT and happy with his life. Not only that but Liam has joined a band as well. Liam also has a boyfriend. So when he is once again punched in the face by Scott when they come face to face after so many years, the feelings Liam had thought he left behind come flying back in again at full force.

Can two men that have so much of a past and hurt between them finally figure out a way to at the very least make a go at being friends? Is there a possibility for these two to build more between them? Or is this relationship as doomed as it as been in the past?

This was, like I said, a fabulous read. I really enjoyed it and all the drama between these two men. I look forward to more books in this series, hopefully. I definitely look forward to more books by K.A. Mitchell in the future.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
