Blurb:

Is it possible to find the heart’s home twice in a lifetime?

Six years ago, Sawyer Burroughs’s life fell apart. His soul mate and husband of four years died of cancer, and he fell into depression… and a bottle. It’s taken six years, but he’s turned his life around and is ready to start again on the other side of the country.

In his new apartment, he’s welcomed by his young and carefree neighbor, Derek, from across the hall. Derek is eager to make Sawyer feel welcome and even offers him a place to stay when Sawyer arrives ahead of his furniture.

The upstairs neighbors are just as friendly, and soon Sawyer finds a place with the friends-with-benefits threesome. He’s not the shy, vanilla lover they think he is, though, and he’s hiding more than a pair of nipple rings. As it happens, the guys have kinky secrets of their own, but for four men to make a BDSM relationship last, they’ll have to figure some things out.

I have to say that this was a very, very sexy read. Not only does this story include two couples but it also the four of them as a foursome as well. It has some mild to medium BDSM in it but for the most part that is pretty low key as far as BDSM goes. Sean Michael truly wrote a fabulous book with this story. It is one of those books where you are rooting for all of the main characters.

Sawyer needed a change. After losing his husband a few years ago, he decided it was time to have a fresh start. After losing his husband to cancer, Sawyer started drinking heavily until he realizes what his life has become. That is where the new start comes into play. So that is when he sells his house and all the belongings inside of it and moves to a new city.

When he arrives he is both scared and excited. He has just the belongings in his vehicle and still has to purchase his new furniture but for the most part, he is happy for the new lease on life. After arriving at his new apartment, he immediately meets his new neighbor.

Derek knows from the first moment he meets Sawyer that he wants to get to know him better. Once he realizes Sawyer does not have furniture yet, he will not allow him to stay in an empty apartment when he can stay more comfortably at his apartment. Though Sawyer is reluctant at first, he agrees.

Once he and Derek get to know one another a little better, Derek decides Sawyer needs a welcome to the neighborhood grilling, get to know you better, cookout with two of the people Derek is closest to. Benny and Luke are the other neighbors that share a back yard with Derek. Not only that but the three of them often play together and Derek believes Sawyer would be a great addition to their threesome.

Will Sawyer agree to join the three of them and make it a foursome? What will happen once Derek and Sawyer get to know one another better? Will Luke and Benny be receptive to having Sawyer join in their fun?

These are all questions you will get the answers to once you read the book. Not to mention some questions you may have of your own. I truly enjoyed this read. Sean Michael did an amazing job on it. I look forward to more books by Sean in the future!!

  • Sean Michael was one of the first authors I read when I started M/M and I own quite a few of his Hammer series books and the Cereus (which is a colab with Talbot and Tortuga). His works are sexy and interesting but I haven’t read anything of his for years ‘cos after reading 20+ of his stories I found the plots repeatitive and the writing style and phrase structure to not be one I enjoyed. Also being a book of MM+ isn’t something I like so this won’t be the book that it’ll bring me back to him 🙁

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
