Christian Rafferty is a talented quarterback with a big secret. He’s determined to make the most of his final season on the football field, and if possible, avoid any confrontations with his conservative parents about his future. It shouldn’t be difficult; he’s become adept at keeping his public and private lives separate. However, when a math class threatens to derail his plans to graduate on time, he realizes he may need outside help.

Rory Kirkland has a reputation for being a tough guy. He’s a former wrestler and recent college graduate who needs a real job. Until he finds one, tutoring is a decent temporary gig. Luckily, his brain is his biggest asset. Rory is a genius. He credits his sport for helping him deal with angst and rumors about his sexuality when he was younger, but he doesn’t care what others think anymore. He likes his new status as an out and proud bi man; and he recognizes something of himself in Christian. But Rory didn’t count on falling for him. When an unlikely friendship collides with intense attraction, both men begin to realize that coming out on offense just might be the surest path to love.

I just love this series. Each book has its own drama and no book is alike other than the fact it is based out of a college scene and one or both main characters are in the closet. That is the only similarities thus far. And I will be honest in saying each book has gotten better than the last. Just like this one did. I really enjoyed this book. So much so that even though I had to be up at 5 am this morning, I stayed up late just so I could finish reading this book. It was just that good of a read.

Christian is the quarterback for his college. His love for the game shows with each pass he throws and each play he makes. He is an amazing leader for the team. Always encouraging the other players when they need it and even being hard on them when they deserve that as well.

Christian has a secret he has never trusted anyone with. He is gay. But he knows being the QB and being openly gay would not be easy so he has kept it a secret for years now. The only one who knows he’s gay is Max, his best friend and ex boyfriend. And now Max’s new boyfriend Sky. Christian having Max to talk to and confide in helps Christian when he needs to vent or whatever. It also helps that Max and Sky are readily convenient because they are also his roommates.

When Christian’s coach comes to him about his statistics grade, Christian is left with no choice but to get a tutor. He is not excited about this at all but in order to continue being able to play football and for his parents to not find out he is failing, he will have to do as his coach wants.

What Christian does not expect is for his new tutor to not only be smart but extremely sexy and bi. So now Christian knows he is in trouble because he is attracted to the person that is supposed to be helping him pass his class. Christian never expects to find out that Rory is attracted to him as well.

What will happen when an out and proud tutor and a closeted football player hook up? Will they be able to figure out how to make things work between them or will Christian being closeted ruin what is happening between him and Rory? Will there be a good time for Christian to come out or will it be out of his control?

This book was an extremely incredible read. I really enjoyed this book. As always with this series, I cannot wait for the next book in this series to come out. Lane Hayes once again has a hit with a book in this series. I truly look forward to more by Lane in the future.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
