*Small-town succubus meets snow white and they prove that all you need really is love.*
All his life, Sebastian has wanted to live in New York. Now he’s there, and it’s . . . underwhelming. He has no family, friends, or even close acquaintances there, and a personal tragedy has left him feeling more isolated than ever before. Maybe he’s a small-town succubus after all. He’s ready to throw in the towel when Finn Marshall crashes into in his life. The raven-haired enigma’s pick-up line is tantamount to a carjacking, and the night only spirals further out of control from there. Finn is on the run from his wicked stepmother, who wants to kill him so she doesn’t have to share his dead father’s fortune and power. Can he and Sebastian escape her huntsman and set things right?
Succubus and the City is more adjacent to the The Rowan Harbor Cycle series and does not feature any of the three main couples.
Sebastian, brother to Sean (lover of Jesse), is waylaid one night in New York City to pick up his drunk roommate, and gets involved in a far more dangerous situation helping a stranger, Finn, elude kidnapping and murder. Told in Sebastian’s single POV, this is a fast paced urban fantasy suspense, with a couple of twists, and a happy, if quick, ending. I enjoyed the suspense, I liked the characters, but I wanted more!
P.S.: I really need a bloody family tree in the beginning of each book for all the families of Rowan Harbor involved in the series, because I got to tell you it took a long time for my brain the catch up to the information given and put together Sebastian is Sean’s (from Wolf and the Holly) brother…but then I got to thinking did I even know Sean has a brother and…I don’t remember. There is a very large cast of characters in this series, so back to my original point of it would be really helpful to have the genealogy chart of the townspeople involved in the series.
Note: The Rowan Harbor Cycle is a series of 9 books – a trilogy of trilogies. The main characters (Devon and Wade, Jesse and Sean, Fletcher and Conner) will have their own book in each trilogy with happy for now endings until the final trilogy where they will finally (hopefully) get their happily-ever-afters.
