Richard “Tank” Martin was a big boy from the start. Born weighing over 11 pounds, he didn’t stop growing. When he was in middle school, a football coach took him under his wing and finally explained to him the mystery of calories in, calories out and from then on it was all good for him. At least he thought. Being called to meet with his platoon sergeant and told that he was now part of the Army’s overweight program, sent him into a spin that only his crews can help him out of.

Dr. Jack Dillon thought his life was good and finally settled. Part of an active veterinarian practice, volunteering with a service dog organization, spoiling his sister’s triplets and training in sports jiu-jitsu…the only thing missing was a partner. He never thought that his world could be shattered with just a phone call even after being around his military friends.

Tank and Jack have been dancing around each other for months until Tank takes a chance and kisses Jack at their friends’ wedding moving their slow dance into a heated bump and grind. Can these two survive the changes coming their ways together or will all the changes break them apart?

Ok, wow, I just did not think Kris Jacen would be able to create a book as good as Challenge Me but Kris Jacen did. This is one of those reads that starts out extremely sweet but there is some unexpected tragedy that completely breaks your heart for these charcters. This book is definitely in the running with book four as far as being my favorite in this series. I really hope that Kris Jacen is planning to write more books in this series because I have not had my fill of these guys yet.

This book starts out with going back to some of what happened in book four. Book four did this more as a prelude to what was to come in this book. This book starts out with Tank learning he has not passed his weight requirements for the military. To say this affects Tank is putting it mildly. This is affecting not only his career but also his confidence in himself. So Tank decides it is time to be proactive. He decides to learn a better way of being healthy and eating.

At the same time this is all happening, one of the crew members, is also having a life changing moment as well. Jack’s sister and brother in law are about to become parents of triplets. He is excited and cannot wait to become an uncle.

Amidst all this change for both of these two men another change is coming as well. After a few years of being friends, they are both ready to admit they feel attraction towards the other. But it is not just an attraction, there is a major connection felt between them as well. Problem is, Tank is unsure of how Jack is going to react when he finds out that Tank is a virgin with very little experience. Tank always knew at some point he would no longer be a virgin but he always assumed it would be some random hook up and not with someone he cares about.

With all the changes and revelations to come, can two men relatively new to a relationship make things work? What will happen when tragedy strikes and it is all hands on deck? Can a relationship with stressful situations work in the end or will it all be too much?

I really enjoyed this read. Kris Jacen just seems to keep writing books that make me want more. I really hope there is going to be another book in this series. Each of these books have been such great reads and I am not ready for the stories to end.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
