You can lock your door, but can you lock your heart?

Finding the courage to end his relationship with his manipulative and vicious boyfriend, Jamie Wheeler turns to his close friend Ed Corrigan to help him get his life back on track.

Jamie and Ed have been inseparable for years, and all it would take is a small step to cross the divide from friends to lovers.

It would be the biggest mistake they could make.

Jamie seeks the security of a settled long-term relationship, but Ed vows never to put his heart on the line again after a devastating betrayal. Anything beyond friendship is a risk, and could break them forever.

As Jamie’s vindictive ex causes trouble from the side-lines, a face from the past makes an unwelcome return. Jamie’s life isn’t getting back on track, it’s coming off the rails, as a series of seemingly random events lead to only one of two conclusions: either somebody’s playing a dark and sinister game, or Jamie’s losing his mind.

Tensions rise and danger approaches, drawing Jamie and Ed closer than ever. But time is running out as they race to discover not only what is happening, and why, but also what they truly mean to each other.

The third book in the Deviants Heart series, Perilous Hearts is a slow burn friends to lovers romance intertwined with dark psychological suspense. It can be read as a stand-alone and there is no need to have read the previous two books in the series. No cliff hanger and HEA guaranteed.

Wow, just wow. This book completely blew me away. This is one of those books that as I was reading it I was looking over my shoulder with chills running down my arms. It has been a long time since I read a book that actually scared me. But this is one of those books that did it. There is rather creepy factor to this read that is for sure. But there is also a romance that is mixed into his read so you have the sweet and scary all in one read. A.E. Ryecart outdid it with this read. I was well and truly blown away by this book and it is definitely on my highly recommended read list for others.

This book starts out with Jamie going through and extremely hard break up from his current boyfriend, Callum. When Callum acted as if he was not going to leave without putting up a fight, Jamie turned to his go to person and best friend Ed for back up. Ed was all too happy to help Jamie put Callum out on his butt.

Ed did not like Callum from the start. No one would ever be good enough for Jamie in Ed’s eyes but Callum definitely wasn’t. Callum is one of those people that use and abuse those he is with and that is what he has done to Jamie for far too long. Now Ed is determined to help Jamie see taking Callum back would be the biggest mistake he could make.

Both Ed and Jamie have a secret from the other. They both have been in love with the other for years now but neither has said anything for fear of ruining their friendship. But now that weird things are happening to Jamie that cannot be explained, Ed and Jamie are spending even more time together then they normally would.

With all this time they are spending together, will Ed and Jamie finally admit to the other how they feel? What is with all the strange things that are happening to Jamie? Is Callum behind it all or is it someone else that is not on their radar? What will happen if things go from bad to worse for Jamie? Will Ed be there to catch him if he falls?

This was truly an incredible read as I have already stated. I really and truly enjoyed his book and I hope that there will be another book in this series in the future. Again A.E. Ryecart did just an amazing job on this book and I definitely look forward to more books in the future. ESPECIALLY after this book.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
