You never forget your first love … especially when they cause you pain. Chase thought he was doing the right thing when he left Liam years earlier, but when he finds out he was wrong, it might be too late. The trust they once shared may be past the point of repair.
The Forever Kind of Love is a story of second chances that asks the question — is a good reason enough to wash away the years of hurt it caused? Chase comes home from the military ready to start his life with Liam. But he discovers Liam’s life has already started without him. Is there a place for him in it? Is the possibility of more pain worth the risk for Liam?
If that isn’t hard enough, they only have the week Chase is on leave to come to terms with their future. Can they find forever in seven days?
This is one of those get to the point short stories. It was a good read with heartbreak, anguish, anger, betrayal, love, and forgiveness. It is what I call a second chance love read. Like I said a short story but there was no dragging things out. It is a book that got to the point and then everything just fell into place. I enjoyed this read. LA Bryce did a good job on this book.
Chase is a military man. He is on leave heading home and he has a plan to fulfill while he is there. He knows it is probably not going to be as easy as he hoped it will be but he prays being away for four years will at least help with the man he is looking to have a second chance with. Maybe he will be able to forgive him easier and give him a second chance.
Liam has not seen Chase in four years. The last he had seen him, he and Chase were a couple. They were planning a future together. But Chase left without so much as a word to Liam about his plans to join the military. To say Liam was heartbroken is not a strong enough word for what Liam felt when Chase left.
Now that Chase is back Liam is thrown back to being broken hearted all over again. Four years later, after no contact whatsoever, Chase wants to talk and explain. But Liam is not having any of that.
Will Chase be able to get Liam to hear him out and to explain to him why he left without so much as a goodbye? Will Liam believe and forgive Chase if so?
