What do you do when when your lover is out to kill you?

After university, Johnny dated a mysterious and influential man who never disclosed his profession. Now, following a quarrel, Johnny suffers a series of attacks—attempts on his life that his lover has the power and influence to perpetrate.

With nowhere else to turn, he must rely on his childhood best friend. But can Johnny trust him? With time running out and the world against him, Johnny must solve the mystery himself if he wants to survive.

This book turned out to be a surprisingly good read. At first when I started reading this book I thought I knew the direction it was going to head in but that is not what happened in the least. I’ll be honest in saying that I did not read the description of this book so I was honestly in for a surprise by the twist that the plot of this book took. I can also say that the way that this book started out was also out of the norm that I would usually read because this was a book that was told by the main character but in a way that was made to look like the main character was writing a book about his life. It is hard to explain really so you will just have to read this book to understand what I am trying to explain and also to see if you feel the same as I did. But regardless of how different I felt the writing of this book was, I still found that once I got into this book, I really enjoyed it. Especially the twists and surprises that took place in it.

This book is a tale of Johnny’s life. It starts out with him a young child and quickly progresses through his years of school, University, and adulthood. As Johnny tells the tale of his life, it includes his accomplishments throughout school, throughout his discovery of him being gay, all the way to falling in love for the first time with a man named Lex.

Johnny has always had what some would considered a privileged life in the form of whatever he tried to accomplish, he did and accomplished it with rather well results. It was as if he was set on a path that whatever he touched turned to gold.

Whereas Johnny had a good life, his best friend seemed to struggle along the way. But Johnny did what he could to help Jacob out including introducing him to his boyfriend Lex who in turn offered Jacob a good job when he was having trouble finding one. Things seemed to be on the right track for both Johnny and Jacob but the one thing that bothered Johnny was his boyfriend Lex was supper secretive about what his job actually was and in turn his best friend was as well since he worked for Lex.

When in a turn of events happens and someone seems to be out to kill Johnny, his world is turned upside down and he no longer knows who he can trust. How will Johnny figure out who is trustworthy and who isn’t? Will Jacob, his best friend from childhood, be able to help him unravel what is actually going on and who is behind it? Can Johnny really trust the man he has come to love, Lex?

This book turned out to be a truly action packed read. There is not a lot of steamy scenes but there is the since of love and friendship. There is also an air of mystery to this book as well. All of this combines makes for a really good read. I really enjoyed this book in the end even though I was skeptical as soon as I started reading. I am truly glad I have this book a chance because I would have missed out if not!!

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
