Blurb:

When Ben wakes up from a nap in his Jeep, he is horrified to find two strangers driving it. His car’s been stolen, with him in the back seat. Ben overhears just enough to discover they are brothers on the run for murder. Randall is a thug, delighting in showing off his gun and vowing to use it if Ben tries to escape.

Ben just wants to get out of this alive but soon finds himself fighting a dangerous attraction to Randall’s younger brother Murphy. His tough exterior hides someone sweet, vulnerable, and completely gorgeous. The sexual tension between Ben and Murphy becomes impossible to ignore as they are kept in forced proximity. Bound together, made to share a room and even a bed night after night in increasingly weird motels, they slowly turn from enemies to secret lovers. When Murphy discovers Randall’s true plans for Ben, he must choose between the brother who has always been his everything, and Ben—the man it might be worth losing everything for.

This book was definitely not your typical read. I have to be honest I view this book as more of a Stockholm Syndrome type book because one of the lead characters is kidnapped by two brothers. Somewhere along the way he falls for one of the brothers that has kidnapped him. So for that reason only, that is why I view it as that type of read.

Ben just graduated college and has decided instead of flying back home to instead drive cross country in his heap. After a long night of driving, Ben decides to pull over for the night when he felt himself getting too tired. It was a great night’s sleep considering he slept in his car. The only problem is when he wakes up he realizes his vehicle is definitely moving and he has no clue who the two men are in the front seat.

Murphy and Randall thought they lucked out when they found a heap full of gas but when they realize it is occupied as well, Randall decides to keep Ben with them as their captive. He figures somewhere along the way that Ben will become useful. And since they had to leave because Randall killed someone, they cannot take the chance of Ben going to the police.

Murphy is not happy that His big brother Randall wants to keep Ben but he would never go against him. So whatever Randall wants, Murphy gives. So keeping Ben is what they will do. Murphy soon realizes it is not so bad having Ben around but he also knows that Randall is very unpredictable.

As they head toward Canada Ben and Murphy start to become closer. But they have to keep this information from Randall. What will happen if or when Randall finds out just how close Ben and Murphy has gotten? If Ben is able to get out of this alive, what will happen to Murphy? Will he ever be able to get free of these two men, does he really want too?

This was a different read as I said. I liked it on some levels but I will say that on other levels I did not like it. Also there was a abrupt ending that left me wondering why it ended so quickly without answering all the questions I still had about their relationship and Randall. So for that reason I gave this book a three.

Author

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time.

I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books.

Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
