Kendall Shaw is in a rut. Sick of feeling like his dad’s personal puppet. Sick of being set up on less than stellar dates by so-called friends and family. Just plain sick of everything. That is, until Joe enters the equation.

Joe Butler has worked diligently to build his architecture business and reputation, which has just signed its biggest client to date. A law firm with endless connections in the greater Seattle area. Connections that could elevate his firm’s status.

When Kendall and Joe’s paths cross, sparks fly. But Joe has a strict no dating policy, especially when it comes to clients. But Kendall is relentless and refuses to accept no for an answer.

In this battle of wills, who will be the first to give in?

First off, the cover is HOT. As was the book.

Kendall is a player. Working for the family business, he’s looking for something…more. When his father hires an architect, Kendall is instructed to be the main contact.

Joe has spent his life building up his business and he’s finally accepted a major contract. When he meets Kendall, he’s instantly attracted, but he can’t do anything about it. He needs this job.

Kendall doesn’t take no for an answer, or at least, not when he knows it’s not a firm no. And that’s what’s so epic about him. He knows what he wants and he goes after it.

Joe’s reluctance fell away and he was so sweet and honest. They were a perfect match.

As a short novella, I felt like this packed a pretty full punch with a lovely couple and a perfect HEA.

Reading has become such a huge part of my life as an adult. I love the escape, but I also try to take something from each story for myself. I am a lover of words. I love dialogue. I love a slow burn and a happy ever after. Favorite Authors: Garrett Leigh, Amy Lane, Mary Calmes, Lane Hayes, T.J. Klune, Roan Parrish, N.R. Walker, Cara Dee, Anyta Sunday
