A Once Upon a Vegas Night Tale

His greatest prize can’t be won in the octagon.

Champion MMA fighter Adam Littrell needs no distractions as he prepares for the fight that will determine whether he retires. But when he opens the door of his swanky Las Vegas home to his new personal assistant, Bo Wilkins, staying focused becomes a struggle.

Aware of Adam’s surly reputation, Bo doesn’t expect to like his new employer, let alone fall for him. But Bo is pleasantly surprised when a shared love of books leads them to study for their GEDs together and plan for a life after their current careers. Adam won’t be able to fight forever, and Bo wants a relationship on equal footing.

But just as their relationship is getting off the ground, the sister Bo raised needs his help, and he drops everything. With Adam’s final match looming and Bo in a different city, reuniting will be the real challenge.

I was surprised by this book. Not because it was such a great read but because it was such a sweet read as well. When you think of an MMA fighter, you automatically think of gruff and moody, or at least I do. But not in this book. Adam, aka Beast, is this sweet teddy bear of a man instead of the Beast everyone believes him to be because of his MMA career. This book was truly a good read. I enjoyed it and I really enjoyed the characters in it. Definitely a book I recommend for others to read because I think that anyone who reads this book will love the characters as much as I did.

Adam, The Beast, is an MMA champion. He has held his middleweight title for a long time now but he knows his time is drawing near to retirement. At the age of 38, he knows he cannot continue to fight forever and he is okay with that but he does have one more title match he wants to get through first.

On his lazy Sunday lounging around the house in nothing but his undies, his manger comes knocking on his door. Not thinking anything of it, Adam opens the door dressed as he is only to find that he is not by himself. Instead there is another man with him, along with his suitcase. Adam had forgotten all about his manger hiring him a new PA to help keep him on track. So the first meeting with his new personal assistant is definitely more on the personal level at least attire wise.

When Beauregard shows up at The Beast house for his new job, he never expected to meet his new boss while he is dressed in his undies. Definitely a meeting Bo will never forget. Bo has not been looking forward to this new job but he knows that with never even graduating high school, this is the best paying job he will get. Not to mention the room and board are part of the wages as well. So this job with Adam will go a long way towards being able to pay his baby sisters way through college.

Even though Bo did not think he would enjoy working for Adam, he finds that Adam is nothing like he expected. He is the opposite actually. Bo finds it harder and harder to not be attracted to Adam. And even though both Adam and Bo make it known to each other that they are attracted to the other, Bo also makes it known that they cannot act on it since Adam is his boss.

This actually works for a while but as we all know, one thing leads to another when attraction is involved and these men end up together. But what will happen when out of the blue Bo’s sister needs him in Cali? How will Bo and Adam handle the crisis that she is going through? Especially when it becomes apparent that Bo cannot leave her? Can they figure out how to make things work between them? Or is Adam being in Vegas and Bo in California going to be too much? Will Bo be able to be there for Adam when his last fight rolls around?

This was such a great read. I really loved Adam’s character. He is this charming individual who puts those he cares about first. He is also one of those people who loves to surprise people so the fact that those surprises usually backfires somehow makes it so much more enduring. Especially since he never gives up. This is definitely a book that I would recommend to others. I look forward to more books by Evie Drae in the future!!

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
