Charlie is torn between two men—one who seems unreachable, the other a superhero who steps out of a poster.

Charlie is the young, handsome writer of The Black Mask superhero adventure series. Recently broken up from his long-term boyfriend, he finds himself developing feelings of lust and love for his editor, the gruff, clearly straight Sam. Charlie’s love life takes an even more unexpected twist when his fantasy creation, The Black Mask, somehow becomes a reality—and his lover.

This was a good short story about both reality and fantasy. It is not a very long read and there is not really any drama to it. It is just a short sweet read about assumptions, Fantasy, and reality. Those three combinations together made it a good short story. Samuel King did a good job at writing a very enjoyable read.

Charlie is out of a recent relationship where he caught his ex boyfriend cheating with his ex best friend. He has not gotten into a new relationship since but he can’t help noticing his very straight boss, Sam. Charlie has always been attracted to Sam but now that he is single, he really wishes that Sam swung his way. Oh well, at least he has some material for when he is alone.

Charlie writes a comic series called the Black Mask. Oh how Charlie wishes he could meet someone like him. What he never expects though is this make believe comic hero to come to life before his eyes and to be attracted to Charlie. Whether The Black Mask is a fantasy or from an alternate universe, Charlie does not know but he does know he is going to enjoy the Black Mask while he can.

Charlie still is not over his crush on his boss but to have fun while he lusts over Sam is what Charlie plans to do but what happens if Charlie finds out that Sam is not so straight after all? How will Charlie choose between both men? Could he have a real relationship with the Black Mask?

This was a great read!! I enjoyed this book and the sweet read that it was. I look forward to more books by Samuel King in the future!!

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
