Jackson Rivers has always bucked the rules—and bucking the rules of recovery is no exception. Now that he and Ellery are starting their own law firm, there’s no reason he can’t rush into trouble and take the same risks as always, right?

Maybe not. Their first case is a doozy, involving porn stars, drug empires, and daddy issues, and their client, Henry Worrall, wants to be an active participant in his own defense. As Henry and Jackson fight the bad guys and each other to find out who dumped the porn star in the trash can, Jackson must reexamine his assumptions that four months of rest and a few good conversations have made him all better inside.

Jackson keeps crashing his bicycle of self-care and a successful relationship, and Ellery wonders what’s going to give out first—Jackson’s health or Ellery’s patience. Jackson’s body hasn’t forgiven him for past crimes. Can Ellery forgive him for his current sins? And can they keep Henry from going to jail for sleeping with the wrong guy at the wrong time?

Being a fish out of water is tough—but if you give a fish a bicycle, how’s he going to swim?

Man Jackson is just a magnet for trouble. Even when he tries not to be, it is like it finds him and then attacks him. This book is no different. Amy Lane knows how to write a book that captures your attention from the get go and does not let up until it is over. Even then I find myself wanting more!!! I always look forward to the next book when it comes to this series cause I know Jackson is going to be into something and you never know what it is until it happens!!! Great read!

Ellery is in the process of opening his new law office. Jackson has been helping and even though they are basically partners in this with Jackson doing the PI work and Ellery doing his lawyer thing, Jackson knows the law office is Ellery’s baby! Things are running smoothly with getting the renovations done and Jackson is slowly healing from the last job that he and Ellery was on. But even still Jackson is no where near where he once was.

When unexpectedly a client walks in and asks Ellery for help, he can not deny it even though the office is no up and running yet. Once Ellery and Jackson have all the information Jackson takes off running on chasing leads. In order to get all of the truth from their new client, Jackson has the new client help him with the running and gathering of information.

Henry knows he is being framed for murder. He also has certain secrets he did not want to come out! But with everything starting to point to him even though he is innocent, he has to owe up to things he was not ready to expose and hope that those affected will forgive him.

The more information that Jackson and Henry uncover, the more dangerous the situation becomes, not to mention twisted!! Can Jackson, Ellery, and Henry figure out who it is framing Henry before whoever it is that framed Henry comes after them? What will happen when Jackson continues to ignore his health? Will he be able to complete the case without having any major setbacks?

This was such a great read!!! It is full of action, danger, mystery, suspense, and even love!! I look forward to more of Jackson and Ellery in the future!!

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
