To save his soul, he’ll have to fix his one regret—the love that got away.

The summer between the end of school and the start of what came next was full of sun, surf, and sex. For Will McLeod, that meant Tom, his first male lover. He knew the romance had an expiration date and would end when Tom joined the Army, but that didn’t stop Will from falling in love. The summer between the end of school and the start of what came next was full of sun, surf, and sex. For Will McLeod, that meant Tom, his first male lover. He knew the romance had an expiration date and would end when Tom joined the Army, but that didn’t stop Will from falling in love.

Tired of being looked down upon for being poor, Will became a lawyer—but not just any lawyer. He litigates for the gods as they gamble with the lives of those desperate enough to make deals. His job is to make sure they don’t slip free. He has more money than he knows what to do with, but he’s fast running out of soul.

Twenty-five years haven’t dimmed the candle Will holds for Tom, and when they meet again, he has a chance to put things right. Back then, Tom wasn’t ready to fight for them. Now the decorated soldier is willing to get his hands dirty, but will he be a match for the forces trying to keep them apart?

This was a good read. I was skeptical about this book because it is more then just a good versus evil read. But it turns out that this book was not at all what I expected in the least. Yes it was book about Lucifer but honestly it did not turn out where most would expect it to go especially with the name of the book. So my suggestion is to not look at the name but read it instead and then form your opinion of it.

When Will was in his last year of high school he come to know and love a man named Tom. But things happened that pulled these two men apart. Main thing being Tom did not understand his sexuality at the time and he refused to even acknowledge Will outside of the alone time they had together. Another thing being Tom was leaving for the military as soon as he was done in high school. Lastly, the final nail in the coffin was Will did not come from money like Tom did so Will did not feel worthy of him because of it. So all these things plus more tore these two men apart.

Now 25 years later Will is once again finding that he regrets decisions he has made and wishing he could change how things ended with Tom. See Will made a deal with a God named Plutus. For riches and success in life, Will signed a contract with Plutus. At the time he thought this was a good thing but now, he wishes he could end the contract. But that is near impossible. The only way to do that is with the regret clause. And Will’s regret has to do with the man he loved and lost many years before.

Tom has not been back home since he left for the military. Now that he is back for short term, he decides to attend his class reunion. This is a last minute decision and he never expected to run into Will. Now that they have though, danger is all around both men.

How will Tom react when he figures out what Will is mixed up in and what the consequences are for Tom if he ends the contract? Will Tom be willing to help Will or will he decide to leave Will to his fate?

This book is a book I would describe as a second chance at love read. But it also has the aspects of paranormal as well with Angels, Gods, Lucifer, and souls. It is a book I expected to go one way only to turn out to go another. This is a book that I would recommend to others. It is a good read with a major twist.

Hello, I am an avid reader of male/male books. I do not have a favorite genre when it comes to male/male books because I love all of them from romance, dark reads, paranormal, shifter, threesome, whatever I see that catches my eye at the time. I read books about rock stars, CEOs, military, cops, and just the original plain old good boy types of books. Basically when it comes to a book, I read whatever I am in the mood for at the time. So my tastes varies from day to day and sometimes even hour to hour.
