What can I say about Chained? Well, first, if you haven’t read The Chimera (Book 1) in the Bound Gods series, I highly suggest you jump on board.

Book 2 picks up where we left off with Leo continuing to train Kaleb and teach him what his purpose is as a doxie. We get a more in-depth look into the Association. The reader also gets a better understanding as to the importance of ambrosia and how it impacts both the Gods and the doxies. Sexual aphrodisiac anyone?

In Chained, we see Leo struggle with the fact that he’s attached to Kaleb. Not only does he not want to train any other doxies, but the beast within him wants to claim Kaleb as his own as well. Aside from the SMOKIN’ HOT sex scenes, what I most enjoyed about Chained is the “mystery” aspect. Doxies are being hunted, and it’s become Leo’s job along with the other Gods to find who or what is responsible for doxies being hurt, maimed, and even killed.

I cannot emphasize how incredibly juicy this series is. It’s dark, it’s depraved, it’s oh so freaking yummy. Seeing Leo get all Alpha male territorial with Kaleb was DELICIOUS! I have come to enjoy Leo and Kaleb’s characters so much, and I eagerly await the next installment in the series.

Overall thoughts? Well worth your time. An easy breezy 5-star read for sure. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the next installment. I haven’t been this excited about a series in a long while!
